Monitoring Wynn injury situation (Placed on IR)

Baltimore, and maybe Cleveland. The way Myles Garrett had his way against the Jets can be cause to worry. And, judging from his play from last night's game, seems like Garrett may be a bit of a dirty player.

Is this a joke? You actually said Cleaveland??

Brady and Josh have been here before. We need to play a 6 man line, with a blocking TE in on every play. The alternative is Develin filling that role.

We won't need a blocking TE on every play.. there will be chipping RBs/WRs, jumbo TE sets.. like you said yourself this is not the first time Josh and Scar have been in this situation.

I certainly hope one out of Newhouse, Cunningham and Benenoch can be a solid tackle but at this point I wonder if we won't see Thuney-Eluemenor-Karras-Mason-Cannon until Wynn returns.

Ok. Let’s look at the how the schedule looks while Wynn is gone. Not to mention the bye week is week 10 which will be 8 weeks.

Doesn’t look too bad outside of that Baltimore road trip if you ask me.
We could average 17 points a game and run that table.

No Garrett is very very good, and he's not dirty. Both calls never would have been made in the first 99 years of the NFL, and they shouldn't have been called last night either. Unless they expect defensive players to levitate after they knock people to the ground, this will keep on happening.

BTW- can't blame the refs, its the incredibly STUPID rules that are coning into the game. It makes it almost unwatchable.

Crazy people are talking about Cleaveland.

Where are you all seeing he will be back after 8 weeks? I think that is wishful thinking. This could just as easily be season ending, and with this guy it is more probable than not.

This is a big deal, all the Pats backup OL's were castoffs being collected over the last month. even the drafted guys are already injured or cut. The depth is next to nothing, and with the way luck has gone for the line this year, you know more injuries are coming.

Any other position group, sans QB, the Pats could deal with, this is a huge problem.

Turf toe has been reported as week to week for many years.

Turf Toe was speculation by many people. I've seen no confirmation on it..

What about Cajuste? Will he ever see the field or will they shut him down. It’s been awhile since he got that quad surgery.

Cajuste is on NFI. He's eligible to come back after week 6, I believe.

He lasted 3 plays this year.

What makes it more probable than not? He's had one injury before this, an achillies which is a season ender for literally every person ever. What about that makes any injury he has going forward a probable season ending thing?

Time to trade for Trent Williams.

You need to keep TB safe (blind side). Even if it takes a #1 draft pick.

The current roster has "scrubs" for LT position.

Is it even possible to fit Trent Williams with the cap?

The Eagles third string LT is Halapoulivaati Vaitai behind Peters & Dillard. He started over 1,000 snaps on the 2017 SB team including the playoff run. The Eagles secondary is a mess. There's a deal to be made there but the top 6 DBs are too valuable & Jackson has too much upside for a stopgap LT. Maybe another pick?

Isaiah Wynn will be 1 of the players coming off IR at the earliest possible time. Per the current WR core, I see no reason for Harry to not have a redshirt season. Edelman and Gordon should be here for the season as should Dorsett. Harry was already having a tough time during the camp, so he's in no way even an upgrade over Meyers at this point. Let him have a season to actually learn to get separation from WRs. I'd actually rather bring back another player than Harry. Let's see how it plays out over the next couple weeks.

You never know what is going to happen in the next 7 weeks. So let's put the kybosh on saying that we should "redshirt" Harry because of our WR depth. One only has to look at this thread to know how quickly things can change. Not to mention that things with Antonio Brown seem to be getting worse instead of better with the 2nd allegation..

ugh... just ugh.

I would think BillB re-makes his current deal to be "signing bonus" to minimize cap hit.

The only way they could do this is to add at least 2 years to Williams contract. But that would still put them over $3.5M for a cap hit. They'd also have to redo DMac's contract to add a couple of years to free up more cap space..
