Dam Braxton Berrios and Dontrelle Inman just gave each other high fives.:)

And here we were thinking we had too many WR's:rolleyes: maybe on the shelf.

So what are the Patriots options with Harris?
If he is put on IR when can he come back at the earliest?
Is it possible to waive him with an injury designation and then resign him to circumvent IR rules?

It may be a bit of a struggle at that position, at least initially until DT or Gordon return.

The Patriots actually CAN'T put him on the IR until after the cut-downs to 53 if they want to put him on the In-Season IR.

If they IR him before that, Harris is done for the season unless they give him an injury settlement. And then they cut him and he has to wait 6 games before he could re-sign with the Pats, I believe.

Does Mo Harris become this years version of Jordan Matthews?

You never know about injuries...

...although sometimes, you SHOULD. o_O

Injury settlement time.

Remember last year - this is pretty typical I guess - bring in ten guys - 5-6 actually make it out of camp.

It wasn't just last year. But, yes. Depth is Good.

(By the way - - look at that live ticker on the right at 3:25est - - it's another Armageddon day out there for injuries around the league ). Stuff happens. The year is nothing but a gauntlet.

Feel sorry for the kid

Puts the Pats in a tough position.
He was on the bubble. He seemed to have a good OTA showing, but has been behind Meyers and others recently.
He has portions of three seasons so he is not a vested veteran. If placed on IR he would first go through waivers.
If unclaimed he would revert to IR and be eligible to come off.
But they already have two injured receivers in waiting.

Sounds like his preseason is done.
Pats either have to place him on waivers or hold onto him on the final 53 and then consider whether to waive him and promote someone from the practice squad.

I was going to say the same thing about the injuries on the twitter feed. Of course they will happen as long as it is on other teams:eek::eek::eek:

Both are on PUP so they wont affect IR players. Thomas may be on the 53 week 1 and I doubt Meredith will play at all this year. So, if they can sneak Harris on the 53 and then IR him he can be ready week 8 (if even needed) - granted he will have no ability to practice between now and then.

But they may not need him with JE, PD, Harry and most likely Myers or even Inman filling in as a 4th until JG comes back etc. The Pats were smart this year to load up on WRs

Berrios chances of making the team just went up substantially.
