In the end of the day I would still take my chances on Gordon over DT. I feel like the upside for Gordon is much higher. I look at it as I can make a very risky bet and win $100 or make a somewhat safe bet and potentially win $10.

I linked directly to two quotes of yours that were in full - - word for word. I was commenting on those posts. Neither had "if" in them. Seriously, what's so hard for you to understand.
So you were misinformed about what I was saying. When I explained you were misinformed you argued that I never said what I clearly said. An apology would save face for you about now.

You then drag in a completely different one from 2 hours previous where you were responding to someone else? Classic.
It was the same thread, same day, same discussion.
Again when I corrected you the adult move would be to say “my bad” not double down on your ignorance of the discussion.

Sure, if in the remaining portion of camp Meyers totally falls apart, and it's revealed that his seeming rapport with Brady was just the result of Troy Brown's spirit temporarily possessing his body, then he's 100% a goner. But...

For all that fans tend to get over-excited about camp phenoms, we also tend to under-value what our eyes tell us. When everybody sees an unheralded player consistently making plays throughout camp, that player generally makes the team. Kenbrell Thompkins, Malcolm Butler, Adam Butler, JC Jackson, etc. etc. etc. At this point, Meyers has been the top receiver in camp, period. Even acknowledging the guys who haven't played yet, that pretty reliably earns you a roster spot.
We agree

Exhibition game #3 will tell us most of what we need to know, at least as far as the start of the year goes.

Well there he wasn't trying to be funny. He seemed genuinely pissed & probably told Tom to gfh when he got it. No doubt he'll mention it when playing up the underdog card sometime this year.

I'm not sure. Vrabel has a dry, Steven Wright deadpan delivery. I'd like to see a longer clip of that just to be sure.

Direct quote posts are direct quote posts. They address what is in the quoted post. Nothing else. Not your history, nor your educational background, nor your taste in automobiles. The quoted post. You DO understand that is the PURPOSE of directly linking the quoted post?????

If you want to magically drag in a post from hours before, one that was not being addressed, then that is obvious. That's an objective thing. It is not subjective.

It is what it is.

I would note that he is top Ster.

Between Shillique Calhoun, Obi Melifonwu, Duke Dawson, etc. there are going to be a lot of hard decisions regarding our Mr. Ebner.........

LOL Bro Brady gave him a ****in reg season trophy. We joke abt things like that for Colts & Jets but 12 just handed a NFL HC (albeit his boy) a trophy on the field for LAST year's REG season win. Vrabel was not happy.

We need a statue of this great man in the great city of Boston.

OK, You all have convinced me. It is quite possible that we will carry 6 WR's and 2 TE's (for 4 weeks). In that case, there is really little choice with regard to WR's:
Edelman. Thomas, Harry
Myers, Dorsett, Harris

We haven't a clue with regard to who will be fill either of TE roster spots, or even whether they currently are on the team.

There are a lot moving parts. No critical decisions need to be made anytime soon.

Is that really a given? With the presumed #1 TE off the 53 to start the season, keeping 6 WR and just 2 TE on the game 1 roster seems perfectly possible..

So let me make sure i understand this.
Your argument is that when someone says
THOMAS IS WR2 IF HEALTHY
then makes half a dozen or more posts then someone in the discussion, the actual discussion says it will cost a roster spot when I say ITS WORTH IT FOR WR2
I should be require to repeat all of my previous posts in the thread so that when you jump in without easing context rather than me saying NO YOU MISSED A POST, and you saying MY BAD, the correct way to interact with other human beings is for you to dismiss me telling you that you missed the context and argue that you know what I meant and I didn’t?

That could literally be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. You must not interact with people in real life.

I'm almost with you there, but why not PUP Thomas? This way they can see how Berrios or Inman do in games - - give them a tryout. If they fly high, cut Thomas. If not, that's a good and (hopefully, by then) more healthy option. Gordon is a roster exemption. Watson is banned for 4 weeks. This is actually working in the Patriots FAVOR!

.

1) Thomas in much, much better a player than Berrios or Inman,

2) Why is it a benefit not to have a solid TE to start the season?

Why would anyone click the "dislike" button on your post? Harry cannot go on PUP, so there's no way that he'll be starting the season on it.
I don’t know. I asked him if he had a problem and haven’t gotten a response. Someone corrected me on that post so we should be good to go. I’m assuming it was a mobile browse/fat finger.

My God you need help.

The two posts of yours that I DIRECTLY quoted and responded to were:

#95: "I think we can sacrifice the 53rd pkayer (sic) in the roster for our WR2"
and
#126: Clearly you see wide receivers on the roster that aren't there".

The word "If" does not appear in either post.

You then try to point to a post from 2 hours before any of that where you were responding to Mgteich.

Here's something even the MCI clearly understands: When someone quotes a post, they are addressing THAT post. Sorry, dude, I have no interest in your past life or other posts (I was in a business meeting at 10:07am). The directly linked post is what is being addressed.

You are special.

A few comments:

a.) Yall be underrating Meyers, IMO. Yes, I have drank all of the Kool Aid...and I don't care!

b.) RE: Vrabes having a sense of humor...I recall an anecdote/story that I read that goes like this:

BB was telling the team to keep an even kneel, ignore the noise, the Media on its knees giving BJs, the fans all hyped up, and etc.....At the end of the team meeting, BB asks the team if there are any questions...and Vrables raises his hands and asks, "What was that about BJs being given out?"

c.) Yup, I am thinking 7 WR's including Slater with maybe 1TE and an extra OT.

2) Why is it a benefit not to have a solid TE to start the season?

1) A healthy Thomas who has chemistry/reps with Brady is - - agreed. I'm not sure that would be him in just 3 weeks. In 10 weeks? Much better chance of it.
2) Watson is already suspended - - no changing that - - there is a silver lining in that we don't have to cut someone who was on the bubble. Gives the Pats some breathing time for a 4 week tryout. It's just roster mechanics. I too wish Watson wasn't suspended.

You are one in a billion
Nice. So your approach is to throw insults rather than accept that you were mistaken.

We all know what happened here, unfortunately your issues turned it into this.

I will reiterate the real point.

X responds without understanding the context of Ys statement.
Y directs X toward the comment that gives context.

I say that X should then say “sorry I didn’t see that”
You say that X should argue that Y isn’t allowed to have context and must have only meant the out of context misinterpretation and then continue to throw insults at Y

I think we are done here.

Why would anyone click the "dislike" button on your post? Harry cannot go on PUP, so there's no way that he'll be starting the season on it.
I’ll be more than happy to lob some insults, at him and possibly his family, if he does have a problem, though.
