Dallas radio sports shows are reporting that Dak and his team are looking for 40M a year and have rejected Cowboys offer of 30M/year.

Yes Jerrah leaks that Dak is asking for 40 million. So the plan is to get Jerrah to meet at the middle to get 35 million or some ****? Negotiating tactics? Will it work?

It’s an NFL contract so who knows how much of that alleged 30 mil a year was real money. Dak might be in the right.

Jerry needs to work on his leaking skills, because $40 million per year is too absurd to believe.

Maybe its my anti-Cowboy bias but I don't think he should be paid
top 5 QB money yet. Let him play out the year and then franchise him if need be for 2020. It gives you 2 more years to evaluate if he is the right long term QB.

Sounds like a false report.

I don’t think Dak’s worth that strong of a contract either, but that’s pretty much where’s the market is heading for anyone. No cheap contracts for quality starting QB’s unless they’re on a rookie deal.

I wonder if Cousins scared the NFL away from fully guaranteed contracts for a while.

40 million for Dak? Buahahahaha

Let the Mike White era begin!

Just structure it the way San Fran did with Kaepernick a few years ago so that it’s essentially a year to year deal. Basically a team option whether or not to pick up the next year.

It's problematic when your QB needs to be surrounded by elite level talent to even be serviceable.

Go with the power run game and pay your money to olinemen with a cheap qb... Stack the defense

What is an actual fair value ? 23M ?

Truth is : he’ll probably never be “the reason they win”. At best, his ceiling is “if the rest of the team is lights out, you could win if this guy doesn’t screw up”.

Jerrah can go GOAT shopping in 7 months
Commit to 3 years and he's yours

Some of these players should be thankful to have a job

Jerruh should cut him and sign Kaepernick...

If true, that’s smart. Aim high. Let’s say he gets $32 million, that’s most likely more than he would’ve gotten otherwise because he isn’t technically a $30 million QB. However, the market dictates what you are these days.

They can also cut ties with Jimmy G after this year.

He shouldn’t be paid top 20 money.
