I like Phillip Dorsett. He is fast! I hope he "gets it" but like a few posters have already said he is what he is.

Gilmore even better than last year?
The problem with Gilmore is his busted coverage and getting taken out by pick plays. He needs to work on that. His man to man is fine.

yup if he eliminates the busted coverage plays Keenan Allen, Sammy Watkins type plays he is the perfect corner

We know what we have in Dorsett.

I'm making a prediction. We will see.
It sounds like you are calling knowing what we have a bad thing. I think bb sees it exactly opposite of that.

Or if people understood who was responsible for the busted coverage that might do it too.

for some he was, for some he wasn't. That should be self explanatory.

I think they will be the same. Harry has way too much talent.

Calling my shot: Dorsett will not make the team.

Harry
Harris
Berrios
Meyers (gone when DT or Flash return)
Careful ... you know what Maroney said about too soon.

Of Course Brady's numbers suffered today...other than N'Keal (Whose in his training wheels) he was throwing to a bunch of JAGS and Castoffs. Give him real NFL wide receivers like edelman, gordon, and D Thomas and Brady does a lot better in 11 on 11

As to Rivers late development (if so) remember that guys like Bruschi and Vrable elsewhere were not obvious studs year 2. Bro did show more than Vrabs early on though. Vrable bloomed once here.
/Pats homer

Dorsett was coming on quite well and then got unseated by Gordon. I think that derailed his progress. I'm not shutting the door on Dorsett at all and you have to love how he has quietly watched his reps go to other people rather than throwing a temper tantrum.

All a CB can do is fight through a pick, coaching is what prevents a pick. They need to be in the correct alignment or have a switch call in place to avoid the pick. Its really difficult, if not impossible to avoid when in press man.

If we are worrying about Gilmore... hahaha. He’ll be fine. We are talking about one of the best defenders in a league slanted towards offense.

Well you have to identify that he was responsible to call it something he has to improve upon, and no sayin everyone must have some responsibility for breakdowns isn’t self explanatory because there is a real answer and a real accountability. We often don’t know because we don’t know which player played the wrong call but one guy doing it doesn’t mean everyone did.
At the beginning of 2016 people blamed Gilmore under the logic that it must be him because he was the new guy and it was almost completely wrong.

He blew the coverage against the Chargers which resulted in a touchdown.
He blew the coverage against the Rams which resulted in Cooks being wide open before JMac broke it up at the end. It's a valid concern. It's his weakness. I hope he improves on it.

Good news is Sony was back practicing this morning....Crowd was big....had to be close to 10k fans there......wish Kraft would spring for bleacher seats on that hill behind the near EZ.......Wife gave me a C note to spend on myself......Took a look at a #12 Brady Jersey and when I saw the $100 price I kept on walkin !! Bought a $4.50 Lemonade drink and was satisfied . I'll wear my old Bruschi Jersey til I die .
