I think he’d be something close to what David Givens was in 2003. Somewhere around 35 catches. Not necessarily a deep threat, but maybe more of a possession type of receiver.
He hasn't been that 4 of the last 5 years.

Sure he has. 39 catches in 2017, 35 catches in 2016—precisely why I compared him to 2003 Givens (34 catches).

His targets trailed off last year with the inclusion of Gallup as a 2nd round pick + the acquisition of Amari Cooper for a 1st round pick. They’re the Cowboys, meaning that they don’t put it up in the air nearly as often. Add in Cole Beasley and the heavy commitment to the running game from one of the league’s best RBs, and it’s not hard to see why he didn’t see as many targets.

Huh???

Wtf did that come from???

It's almost as if players have agents and don't do all their business in public.

Mo Wilkerson is still out there if the Patriots need an ex Packer DL with a wrecked foot that badly.

Hope Rodgers has fun with the Bears and Lions D-Line's

First, Edelman is currently injured and on PUP.

Edelman is on the NFI list. Not the PUP. There is a difference..

Second, I think it somewhat presumptuous to consider a rookie WR as our #1 or # WR before even one reception in the NFL.

Who was the last rookie WR to be #1 or #2 for the patriots? More likely is that Harry will learn a few roles, and hopefully learn them well.
Terry Glenn was the last rookie WR to be the last #1 for this team.

I think you are correct that Harry is not the #1 receiver currently. That is Edelman regardless of whether or not he's on the NFI list..

Hurns catches the amount of passes a we catches when he sucks but you have no one better so you keep trotting him out there.

Givens was in the 50/700 range his last two years here.

Givens blows Hurns out of the water

I'm not impressed with him.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s an Eagle by Monday.

Stafford: "I'm not going to work on my throwing mechanics and furthermore I'm throwing it to the same guy every time when we're losing."

Of course, but that’s why I specified 2003 in my posts. He was still a good receiver for us that year.

He came on at the end of the year
