The Patriots have gotten another late round pick under contract, with Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reporting via Twitter Friday that the Patriots have signed 7th round pick Brandon Deaderick.
According to Rapoport the Alabama standout will receive a $40,300 signing bonus, although the terms of the rest of the deal have yet to be disclosed.
The team recently featured him in a "Meet the Rookies" column, which can be found by clicking here. If you read the article, you'll find Deaderick is lucky to be alive after being shot in the arm during an apparent robbery attempt. Here's an article from ESPN.com shortly after he was released from the hospital back in 2009.
