Some Rob Gronkowski thoughts, etc -

I'm not trolling, it's called humor. I get it, football is a tough sport and Gronk has been through the ringer.

Willie Mcginist's first instinct was that Gronk would return, I felt the same way.

If he hangs it up for good I totally get it though

I’m not saying he’s coming back or not.

But your comparison of back injuries in golf or baseball to a tight ends in football is ridiculous. (And you have no idea of what humor is if you think that is it).

People heal though, that's the point I'm trying to make..

Manning couldn't throw 30 yards because of his neck, then broke TD record.

Emmit Smith rushed for 220 with separated shoulder

Gore tore 2 ACLs in college

Luck sat out a year with his shoulder and people were questioning his career

JJ Watt!

Tyler Eifert still grinding

...... Gronk has a finish line in sight, he is linked with Brady. He's only 30. It is not in any way shape or form crazy to think he might get an overwhelming urge to play and come back. It's Gronk.

Plus he has been severely underpaid for being the greatest TE ever. Maybe he is taking matters into own hands and giving himself a little perk(afterall it is also best for his body for extended break).

And shutting down the rumors is the right thing to do, get everyone focused on moving forward and not concern themselves about him until(if/when) he walks through the door.....

Woods and Kershaw don't have people specifically trying to blow out more of their discs.

I miss everything about him.

Did any of those people actually formally retire and then come back? People heal but in Gronk's case he more likely than not does NOT want to rush right back in and experience another injury.

Rob Gronkowski injury history and analysis

Can you provide any evidence to support your idea or is it just folklore and opinion?

Right now he is retired from the NFL and that is fact.

I know a lot of people do not like this writer but this article is FACT based:

Reimer: Rob Gronkowski's unforgettable career was always on borrowed time

"The season's a grind. It's up and down. I'm not going to lie and sit here and say every week is the best," Gronkowski told reporters. “Abusing your body isn't what your brain wants. When your body is abused, it can bring down your mood. You've got to be able to deal with that, too, throughout the season. You gotta be able to deal with that in the games.

"And no one realizes that, and everyone expects us players to be wide awake every single day, and it's like, ‘Yo, i just took 50 hits to my head … I'm saying I just took 50 collisions, and then the next day everyone wants you to be up. They want practice full speed, next week they want the game to be full speed, but they don't understand sometimes what players are going through with their bodies, with their minds.”

It is true that those particular quotes, when looked at in a vacuum, do not inspire optimism for a comeback.

But those quotes sound like they can be coming from virtually all the active players in the league as well. I'm sure that rhetoric is heard quite often from the player's union, agents, etc. (Not diminishing their claims at all, they're right)

Let me break it down this way(a little unconventional but bear with me).....

If all Gronkowski had to do was play in Super Bowls with his boys Tom and Julian for the next 2-3 years would he do it???
Answer= Absolutely, no duh.

What about just playoffs?
Answer= "F*ck yeah, let's roll!!!!

What about last quarter of the season + playoffs?
Answer= hmmmm

What about the whole season?

Answer= No.

Prize fighters take long layoffs. This football team is rewriting sport. I'm not going to think about this ubermench nirvana dynasty through the lens of 100% traditional football conventionalism.

Lol yeah man, I love this team. Before the Seattle game during all the deglategate BS I went on a tirade with some of my non Pats friends. I was saying we're not getting 1 more, we're getting 3 more. They laughed at me. I wasn't fanatical enough.

It's been a storybook ride. I consider myself a very rational logical person and to me a comeback is squarely on the table. He's making wwe cameos and body slamming people with a bad back. Give me a break if you think he can't have a change of heart.

Jason Witten retired from the NFL, very sad we'll never get to see that HOFer play again.

Yeah I know... Mark Bavaro and Ben Coates and Martellus Bennett all made HUGE comebacks. Keep beating the drum and I am sure he will hear it.

When did he make a WWE cameo and body slam someone?

(Even if he did, it is actually easy to body slam someone if he jumps into the move.)

In 2017, and it was actually more of a forearm shiver.

I don't need to beat the drum..wait til the cool October air hits Gronk's face on a Sunday morning and he realizes he is 30, feeling fresher, boys are balling, and he is not disabled.

And two months after that Santa Clause will be in town!!!
