2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

they didnt even take a look at it. what a joke. so happy something like this cluster didnthappen to the bruins.

Just you wait. I remember Rask being pinned down by a Blackhawk in ‘13 and right after puck went in. The NHL has their methods.

It's insane that the on-ice officials missed that but one they did, nothing replay can do to correct it. I'm guessing that'll change in the offseason.

:whistling innocently:

(Sotto voce) woooo.

Regards,
Chris

Let's hope they change a few of these stupid rules, they have the technology but they're not implementing it properly.

Major changes need to happen with regards to replay. San Jose very well still could’ve won but a game shouldn’t end in that manner. Especially deep into the playoffs.

The review rules have turned these playoffs into a joke.

Replay/officiating cost Vegas the series against the Sharks. It's now cost the Blues a pivotal game (#3) against that same Sharks team. It cost the Bruins a goal in the 'netting' game, though Boston was able to overcome it. And I'm sure that there are more that I'm missing.

The NHL needs to fix this, because we're now facing the possibility of having a team (Sharks) in the finals when it doesn't belong there, and only got their because the league was handing it games in multiple series, and that's absolutely unacceptable.

First BB been saying for years everything should be up for review.

Second the Bruins will get their chance to make it right just like the Pats.

The problem is that, unlike football and baseball, hockey is a constant motion sport. Why do I call that a problem? Well, because that leads to things like the offsides review problems, where a review about something that happened a while back can be imposed on the game. Well, if you, as a league, are going to argue that getting it right is so important that you'll undo something that happened 30 seconds prior because the replay shows a millimeter of separation between the puck and line once you go super slow mo with the film, you can't logically say "But we're going to not review things like hand passes and penalties. If you can basically erase chunks of the game for the good of the sport (or whatever nonsensical reason used to justify such stupidity), you've got no excuse for preventing replay from looking at anything that's blatantly obvious, and adjusting the game as needed.

It wasn't a good call but Vegas doesn't deserve to win if they give up 4 goals on a 5 minute power play.

the bruins are winning the cup.

Bet Sharks’ fans have now completely forgotten about the Wagner “highstick” goal and their bellyaching. Would be inconvenient to remember what they were saying then now

Nonsense

When you would win 'but for' something, you deserve to win (assuming the 'but for' is something that doesn't belong, of course). That you had other chances to win is not the same as you not deserving to win. The same is true for the Saints against the Rams. The Saints deserved to win that game. The fact that they could have won it after the horribly blown call cost them the win at an earlier time doesn't change that.

The Patriots didn't deserve to win, though, because after they'd made the play that would have won them the game had the refs not screwed up, and after the game had changed as a result, they lost. /TBR

It is blatantly wrong and easy to correct by review.
