Call me crazy, but I'm interested. I the Patriots would be a great situation for Rosen, take all the pressure off his back and let him grow into the job when Brady's ready to move on.

We want a talented replacement for Brady, and we're not going to get one that's more talented for less capital than Rosen right now. This is a buy low opportunity on a very talented player that probably isn't going to come again for a quarterback of that talent level between now and whenever Brady moves on.
Lock Rosen Grier in that order.

IDK. I think the Cards 100% need to trade Rosen. They don't want those 2 having to meet each other. Not that it will get physical but anything that can throw off their young QB is an absolute no go for them.

I disagree. I think they are better off bringing them both into camp and see who plays better. They can trade Rosen at any time...no rush. These people are expected to act like professionals.

I'm wondering what kind of cap hit Rosen's contract would be? He was the 10th pick in the draft last year. While trading one of those extra 3rds we have for him might be great, I am wondering if it's even doable because of his contract, and the fact that he will be a back-up, not a starting QB.

He would actually stand us less than Hoyer,
We have Rosen haters, but If something happened tp TB for a game or two like the sniffles, who would you rather at QB...Hoyer or Rosen? We are assuming that Rosen who is a smart kid can absorb the playbook and actually have more than 2 seconds to throw the ball.
Didn't BB comment on advsersity and how one plays it? Kid had plenty last year on the wosre Team in the NFL.
Why did AZ pick Murray? Because he makes their terribel O Line look better when he runs around back there.
I admit I am not the biggest Rosen fan, but this is a value. I hope this who will blink thing dosen't cost us (it we are in this which I think we are) like it has with Hunpries and Cook and even OBJ this year.

Might disagree with you Cousin. If the Cards want some bodies going into 2019 they need to get some picks for Rosen....now.
There last coach was one and done. The next guy out the door is Keim if he can't produce roster depth....his words.

Having a viable QB WHEN Murray gets hurt will win you more games than a 3rd round rookie

Seems like a great time to offer a draft pick for a former top 10 pick.
Deus. You are correct!....my thoughts. Kiem can't look like he panicked. Just a third would be a gut punch.

But two thirds might work for the AZ fans (and a way we look brilliant by getting Rosen and their third day top pick in the fourth #103.)

So our #73 and #101 in the third for Rosnen and 4th round pick #103

The trade value numbers look like this:
#73=225
#101=96
Their top of the 4th (very tradable first pick on Saturday) #103=88

So we would have spent 233 value points for Rosen or a third round value.

Kiem gets two picks for Rosen

We still get to keep 3rd Round pick #97 (but move doenjust two picks for our second 3rd round pick to the top of the 4th.

Although people are expected to act like professionals, lots of times they don't. AZ is crazy to bring them both into camp, IMO. You are then putting huge pressure on both of your young QBs and your new coach, not building your O around the guy who you want going forward. I said in my other post, we really don't know why Rosen unfollowed AZ on twitter, but what if it IS because he's an immature jerk? How is that going to play out in camp? What AZ should be doing is using the rest of this draft to find O linemen who can protect their young QB, thus giving him a better chance to succeed than they gave Rosen last year. What better way to hit on some O linemen than to have a pick or two extra in the middle rounds?

For better or for worse, Rosen is damaged goods right now. Better to let him and your own team have a fresh start. AZ seems to have played it wrong so far (big surprise). Let's see if they right the ship.

Viable is the operative word, at least in that offense...

If the price is a 3rd, and the Pats think he can play well at this level, then they should absolutely try to trade for him. How often will the Patriots have an opportunity to draft a prospect of Rosen's caliber at such a discount, a year into a rookie deal, where all the big money is accounted for. If Lock or Grier are higher on their chart so be it. I trust the FO to make the right call.

Warning if you click play there is vulgarity so be mindful of your volume and surroundings, but it is kinda funny.

Rosen doesn't make sense because he only has 4 years left on his rookie contract. So if the Pats do pick him up, by the time Brady retires (IF he retires in 2 years) Rosen would be entering the last year of his rookie deal, which is never what you want, because you only have one year to decide if you want to lock him up long term.

The same thing kind holds for anyone the Pats would draft this weekend.

Brady says he wants to play til he is 45, I think he is a definite for at least another two years, so what really make sense is to wait until next year to find Brady's replacement.

Look at it this way....

If Brady goes down, the Pats are screwed anyways, so might as well "suck for Fromm (this year) or Lawrence (next year)" if that happens. Hoyer comes with a $1.5 cap hit if he is cut. All of that adds up to another year of Hoyer as the back up, and Ettling on the PS. Any QB taken say tonight would require you to cut Hoyer, take the cap hit, and he still would only have at most two years remaining on his contract when Brady retires.

Well, guess we won't be getting him.

Who's even left to take Lock? San Diego? I'm not a huge fan but I'd take him at the end of the 2nd.
