2019 Pro Days

Some videos from Florida pro day. Apparently Polite did all the drills after all, despite the reports he didn't. Official time is 4.83. Could be a lot worse with a hamstring issue. I really wanted to get measurements for Martez Ivey and Vosean Joseph. They intrigue me mightily.

Sights from Florida's Pro Day

I like Jennings a lot, but I think his teammate Sills would be more of a perfect fit for the Pats. Great replacement for Hogan, a really good red zone target at 6'3"

The comp that comes to my mind for Sills is Brandon LaFell. And at this point there are openings for pretty much every kind of receiver, eh?

Apparently he dropped down to 265 for pro day. He said that he wanted to show that he can gain or lose weight depending on what's required and where a team wants him to play. He needs some seasoning, particularly with technique, but he's compared himself to Chandler Jones in size and play style. I could see him taking off in the right scheme.

I see him as a cross between Chandler Jones and Flowers, although not as good as either. But I do like the mouldable skill set he has.

Opeta with the huge improvement in his agility numbers. I like!

Pro Day Report – Utah St & Weber St | Draft Analyst

Over at Maryland, Tre Watson ran in the 4.7 range and had an excellent 4.15 short shuttle. Great player, but a tick less explosive than I'd like (30" vertical). Miami apparently spent time with him -- he could be their Roberts.

Calvin Anderson, OT, Texas

30 reps
4.40 shuttle
7.19 3-cone

...My dream draft would be something like this:

1) TE Fant
2) WR Butler
2) D Line
3) WR Isabella
3) QB Grier
3) TE Warring (may be very high, but great measurable)
4) WR Sills
We need an OLman somewhere in there too, preferably instead of Isabella...Sills at 4/134 is too early for me...I do love the Warring pick, however; the next Russ Francis?

I would scratch QB and double dip DL

Oh, and safety needs to be in there too. Chung and McCourty will retire next year

1) DL
2) WR
2) TE
3) OT
3) S
3) TE
4) DL

Harry has size, production, athletic prowess -- why are people still saying he can't separate or isn't a sure thing at the next level? I think he's the next JuJu Smith-Schuster, except bigger and more physical, with better top end speed.

I have a feeling our first pick, whether at 32 or not, will be DT, OL (Lindstrom/Risner) or WR (Brown/Harry/Butler/Samuel).

agreed. Which will basically be BPA. Unless a Clelin Ferrell drops to 32 or so.

4.19 shuttle is ridiculous. Donald was 4.39

Hopefully Oliver doesn't drop to Buffalo. They want him badly.

Realistically this should be down to

Lindstrom
Risner
Tillery
Lawrence
Brown
Harry
Butler
Samuel

Although I wouldn't love Butler and Samuel at 32. Not a huge fan of Lindstrom at 32 either but more than Butler/Samuel. Risner would be a great pick as would Brown, Tillery, Lawrence and Harry imo. If Adderley is available at 32, interesting discussion although I don't think his talent outweights the talents of the others that much compared to needs for the 19 season.

My ranking inside those options would be,

1) Tillery
2) Lawrence
3) Brown
4) Risner
5) Harry
6) Lindstrom
7) Samuel
8) Butler

With apparently some other players rising up draft boards I think there is a very good chance we will end up getting one of those top 4-5. Maybe multiple options will be available at 32.
