It would mean exchanging 6 mill cap hit for 9.2 as Claiborne would cost a 2 mill dead money hit. (Or 13.2 to keep both)Bennett is a nice upgrade to Claiborne.
No PlayStation for Christmas, kid, unless you can name the defensive backfields of every NFL club for the last five years. And tell me, as an offensive coordinator, how you would attack each one.He was 10 actually at the time, not 13. Can you imagine the football knowledge you would pick living with BB?
I dont think he demanded more money, in response to would he take a pay cut he said no, I should be asking for a raise, I took it like he was sorta joking in response to the pay cut question.Havent read all 13 pages of this thread yet...
but we just traded for a 33 year old DE that just recently made demands for more money?
Hope this works out, we don't need any more drama
You hit the nail on the head. Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but supposedly he and Schiano have a history. Not in a good way.
You hit the nail on the head.
When Schiano was head coach of the Bucs, Bennet hated him and said so on numerous occasions.
I do not understand why you bring in a soon to be 34 you who hates the DC AND wants more money next year. He has good rush the QB stats but he is an offsides and personal foul machine.
Lastly he has had some off field incidents that suggest he does not like cops and he has also been known tobe an anthem kneeler.
Overall it just does not feel liek a good fit, especially the hate Schiano and frequent penalties part.
I don’t know what to think of his recent comments, but I share your same concerns. That said, one would have to assume that Belichick is aware of things and felt good enough to pull the trigger.Havent read all 13 pages of this thread yet...

Forgive my ignorance, but has anyone definitely confirmed that Schiano is going to be the DC? I know that we’re all constantly discussing it, but is there a possibility that he’ll just be a mid-level assistant for the first year? You hit the nail on the head.

Agree. Anyone thinking like that should watch the interview, he did not demand a raise and got cut, he just wouldn't accept a pay cut and i dont blame him, it's not his fault the Iggles have cap problems.Bennett's a clown, but the money thing is being overplayed. He was responding to the idea of a pay cut by saying that he wouldn't accept one and wanted a raise. He didn't get that raise, and life goes on. He's in New England now, and any theoretical raise will rely on a theoretically spendthrift BB.
Although there are indeed, quite a lot of things that make white people uncomfortable, looking through some of the notes on Bennett’s book makes me take a hard swallow. He sure does have a lot of opinions. He wrote a book called 'Things That Make White People Umcomfortable' lol
That was his quote but he extended that quote to “whatever team I go to I want a pay raise”. I think he will soften on that quote. But his quote went further than you suggestedBennett's a clown, but the money thing is being overplayed. Your quote suggested that he was only responding to the Eagles possibility of wanting him to take a pay cut and him responding that he should get a pay raise. He went further to say that “whatever team I go to I want a pay raise”. His quote was twofold not just in regards to the Eagles but other teams that may want his services. Do I think he will get it. No.Umm....
Pretty sure that covers the whole "whatever team I go to..." part.

Time for bb to bear down and get flowers back in the fold.
Sign flowers, draft nt Lawrence of Clemson and our front seven is going to be brutal.
