B.G.C. 2019 NFL Draft/Patriot-Type Players Thread

Kelvin Harmon is a guy i'm starting to like. Very solid RR and Good hands.

With the New DC to be Greg Schiano, do you think with his knowledge of the college prospects help us in the draft?
Yes & no. Those guys are in such bubble during the year. Certainly for his team, teams hes played but i don't think its a huge deal.

I read somewhere the other day the Pats are behind in draft work. Lol teams are tracking high school players. No one is unfamiliar w these guys bc we won the SB.

Single, double, laterally, GD is polished getting off the line as you can see. He has that explosive burst after planting. Lulling you still, faking etc before taking off. Plays ST. Mentioned him in here. We need some guys w this juice on offense.

I was like eh but the move on that punt return was sick.

@BaconGrundleCandy did I miss your LJ Collier breakdown? Needs some technique / body awareness improvement, but from the games I've watched, I see a legit candidate to replace the Flowers role.

Nah my lazy ass is starting soon. Hes very intriguing. Had a great week at the Senior Bowl I heard. Fits our #'s, long, strong 2 gapper. Almost 35 arms? Haven't studied him but hes very quick, can turn speed into power but looks to be pretty controlled. Eyes up. Again shoots off the line.
I've always notived he does a nice job of setting up T w a quick lil move to get them to open up so he can get inside hands on a rush, punch etc. Really good job at finding the target. Motor checks off. Def will add more. What do you think?

I think he's still growing into his body. He gets overly aggressive sometimes and loses balance, particularly when he tries to crash down the line against the run. I love his urgency, power, and burst off the snap, but he seems to get too caught up in shoving matches at times. He has a great hesitation-bull rush, but when it doesn't win right away, he tends to play pattycake with guys and try to overpower them, which works just often enough that he returns to the habit. A little rough around the edges, but he's got all the physical tools for the job, and his on field demeanor is fantastic -- he definitely sees himself as the alpha out there.

I see a player who should improve drastically in the pros with some focus on technique and body control. He's got experience playing in two, three, and four point stances on both left and right, and he spent some time inside at the senior bowl, if I'm not mistaken. Good all around player. I'd rather take him in the 3rd/4th than Gary in the 1st.

Tough to argue w any of those even though I have my preferences.

Brown, Flowers, other extensions, restructures, cuts they see coming will work themselves out than we'll get a much clearer picture.

Who would you pick from the list?
Hockenson would be a perfect fit but I think he'll be picked before we have the chance to grab him.

Oh my ...

He ever learns the position look out

Forget WR. Can he rush the passer? o_O
Honestly can't remember a rookie WR this big. That man is huge. That said I hope someone else takes him early along w 5 QB'S.

With Kyler Declaring officially i can see there being a run on QBs, i think the surprise QB team could be the cardinals.. we all know what Kilff Thinks of Kyler.

Giants, Dolphins, Jaguars, Raiders?, Washington. I could see all of these maybe taking a QB..

Wouldn't be shocked but they'd have to pull off quite the deal for that to happen w trading Rosen & receiving proper value back but I'm guessing thats secondary to getting their man.

I love it, 5-6 teams fighting over projects their gonna take top 10.

I'm not feeling Kyler Murray

I thought he was great considering where he came from, how great he looked & he did look great at times. I mean its essentially his first stretch of real ball & had that offense clicking like he's coming off his jr year. Hopefully he lands in a good spot that will sit him.

I am really interested to see what love and baker run. The tape is not flattering as far as their speed goes.

40 times are so overrated IMO. I don’t think all 4.50s are equal for example...

We need splits

Sure 4.6 speed typically doesn’t get open in the nfl but what if you run those last 25 yards as fast as the guy who runs a 4.4?
