Passing of the tourch.

My point is that its as if you guys had a great run and it was a lot of fun, having a great QB and head coach and this was the last chapter in the glory years.

My point was that they year you could see the torch being passed to Mahomes, I mean pretty much all of the analysts on ESPN, NFL network etc all say the same thing. I'm happy for you guys and its a little window into what we have coming our way over the next 15 plus years.

Its crazy that you don't see that "strckly at QB" the torch was passed this year. nothing to do with who won or lost just overall eye test. Great year this year!

The last chapter according to whom? We just won the super bowl while your highlights were at the Florida Pro Bowl.

Kellerman and Rob Parker arent analysts. Those would be the only two morons proclaiming that.

P.S. Get your eyes checked

funny thing about this tread is that I have not once became belligerent with you or called you names as so many of you have done to me.

I am happy for you and its very impressive what your team has accomplished. I'm not sad or depressed or anything of the sort.

The funny thing about this thread is that your weak and repetitive trolling has allowed Patriots fans to beat on Chiefs fans more convincingly than the Patriots beat the Chiefs.

Not at all I thought you all would agree, not that the Chiefs were better but at least seeing that the torch had been passed. I mean I would think that 99% of all fans could see it, just thought it was obvious. You all are getting so upset dropping to name calling etc which I have not done to one person. Heck if you want to say that every player you have at every position against ours is better, cool I'll take it, just saying that at QB overall Mahomes has taken the torch from Brady, nothing to be upset about, it sort of is what it is.

"The Chiefs were better"? Really?

Patriots vs. Chiefs - Team Statistics - January 20, 2019 - ESPN

Where, exactly, were they better?

The only reason this wasn't a replay of the Divisional game against the Chargers were 2 turnovers (including one on the receiver...as the third would have been if not for the Off-sides call), a ticky-tack DPI, a pair of obvious uncalled pick plays - I mean, those could have been used as examples of what not to allow for Referees, and the easily seen fact that Kelce can extend both arms at his break (at least three times, including a TD) without drawing a flag, something Gronk would never get away with.

By the way, on that Dee Ford call, the flag was called BEFORE the outcome of the play
was determined. Had it not been a pick (on another receiver-tipped ball), no one would have batted an eye, as he was obviously over the line...and believe it or not, that gives a DE an edge, which is why it's a penalty.

So no, they weren't better by any objective measure. As for Mahomes, he landed in a great spot, surrounded by playmakers at the talent positions in a well-constructed, well-coached team. Kelce is probably the highest-rated TE in the league right now, and for pass-catching, that's probably correct, and Tyreek Hill is arguably the best WR in the game. Having Kareem Hunt for most of the year didn't hurt, either. And it didn't hurt to have Andy Reid coaching - I think he's second to BB in the league right now, and tops in drawing up offensive game plans.

Mahomes might prove to be great. Or he might prove to be okay (Nick Foles - remember his first year on the stage: 27tds/2picks 119+ QBR?) or he might be something special worth mentioning in the same breath as Brady, Manning, Brees, etc. My bet is that you've got the next Russell Wilson over there, which is nothing to sneeze at.

The torch Tom Brady holds is GOAT. Is he the BEST QB in the league right now? I don't know. That title fluctuates year-to-year, even within years - Brees and Mahomes had a better statistical regular season than Brady, as did Rothlesberger.

Know what I do know? Both games with KC this year, when the ball came back to Brady with a chance to win it, I KNEW you were beaten, and you probably did, too.

Bottom line: Patriots dominated that game, and it was AT ARROWHEAD.

Edit: bad button...

This guy...

Perhaps this was the last chapter, but you should have learned by now not to be so premature.

At this point, you *hope* it's the last chapter, just like everyone else who hates the Patriots. You just happen to be one of the people who realize that not recognizing the Patriots' greatness would make you look even less credible, so you do the typical "The Patriots are great, BUT..." routine.

It might make you seem more objective to some people, but Patriots fans have dealt with that for a long time and it doesn't fool us. Your statements are still driven by the hope that you won't have to watch the Patriots beat your team again.

Or Mahomes never wins a ring and you guys are left scratching your head wondering why..

I think the issue a lot of people have is with your sense of entitlement with your young buck.

We get it, he's good, be proud. But coming over here talking about torches being passed and expectations over the next 15 years.. gtfo dude.

Enjoy your new label as "Contender" and see if your team can even make the playoffs next year.

Win something, anything, then talk about torches and expectations.

That doesn't excuse name calling. I've been here a week or two and already been attacked and called names for complaining about the Pats'play in the first half of the SuperBowl. It's inexcusable in any public forum, even an online forum. And it says far more about the attacker, than the victim.

Cool story. It's a sports forum and a pretty well behaved one considering most of the other sports forums out there. Have you checked out Chiefs Planet btw?

People will say what they choose to say - if you are offended, you don't have to stay.

If the responses you get are not to your liking, put them on ignore or contact a mod.

But to expect a sports forum to be completely devoid of name-calling is totally naive IMO.

Good luck with that.

Your only post in the game thread:

This team just absolutely refuses to not make it's fans suffer three hours of gut wrenching agony every time they make the SuperBowl. Could have put this game away in the first half.

Jesus, I am so unbelievably sick of this.

In response, there was one post:

Then dont watch, loser.

So your 6th post on the forum is you whining about a team in the Super Bowl, and you're complaining because there was one post worth of blow back, and that you were called a loser for your complaint.

The internet might not be for you.

Can we take a second to talk about this figure of speech? What a crock of **** it is. Imagine telling someone they can't eat THEIR cake. IT'S THEIR CAKE! THEY CAN BOTH HAVE IT AND EAT IT.

Solid bit for your stand-up routine but apparently the saying is backwards due to a centuries long game of telephone.

It should actually be 'you can't eat your cake and have it too.'

Which makes sense but somehow doesn't feel as neat to say because you're just like...uh yeah?

"Jesus, I am so unbelievably sick of this."

"Of what Billy??"

"The stupid Patriots... they make the Superbowl damn near every year..."

"Yea but that's good Billy, don't you want them to win??"

"well of course I want them to win Nana, but they make it SO STRESSFUL on me.. I just HATE IT, I HATE IT, I HATE IT!!!"

"Maybe you should find something else to do with your time... "

"Good thinkin' Nana"

(Billy goes to complain on PatsFans about how stressful the Patriots make his life and then whines when someone rightfully calls him a loser for it)

Oh well that sure makes way more sense

Well that settles it. The EXPERT ANALYSTS of ESPN have decreed it so!

again you are arguing that the pats are better than the chiefs and giving all of the stats to prove it. That is NOT the point I'm trying to make. it takes 53 players to win or lose a game plus your coaching staff.

I'll give it to you that you have a better team, but specifally at QB the torch has been passed. And comparing to Foles etc is silly. Its one thing to throw 27 Td's, its an entirely different senerio when you throw 50TD's. He did something that has only been done twice in the history of the NFL. Has the torch passed team? no, has it passed QB? yes, that's my point.

right that's why I continue to argue the point. No one outside of Pats fan think that Brady is a better QB than Mahomes. I mean no one, that was the point of the beginning of the thread. The Pats overall maybe a better team but Brady is not a better QB. Still doesn't get us a ring but just making the point its small victories

So what’s your point to keep coming back to regurgitate the same argument when the tourch continually gets shoved right back up your you know what?

The better QB is the one who does the things that get you a title. Gaudy stats in a losing effort are meaningless. One season of greatness is also for the most part meaningless.

You continue to argue the point because you're a troll who thinks it's funny to say stupid **** to the fans of the team that knocked yours out of the playoffs.

That's fine. We continue to celebrate Brady's 6th Super Bowl victory.

Pretty much the same thing, I'm sure.

You are so irrational and butthurt. It was a pleasure to send your overrated squad packing on your own field...which shall be henceforth known as Gillette Midwest.
