Mahomes is avg.

One trick pony player

Pros

Big Arm

Cons

Accuracy VERY Bad
Pre Snap = Andy Reid (Can not ready D very well. Coach does all the work)
Pocket Presence NONE

Not as talented as Favre but he has a big army and have a better coach so fewer TO.

We dont need to go as low as this KC d!ckhead. None of the above is remotely true.

Nothing wrong w admitting he had a season for the ages, bc he did. Small sample size but hes passed every test for a QB w a year of pt under his belt.

Also to the KC fan. As great as Mahomes was this year Tom had multiple seasons on par if not better. He's light years from any QB lacing them up from a processing standpoint & has a competitive drive that is unmatched. Mahomes is a monster but you sound naive to say the least.

Mahomes still needs to learn to read defenses before the snap and set his protections. I don't buy into the myth anymore that college QBs now can't translate to the NFL, because there is a ton of data that says otherwise. But the one area where most of them are hampered (the Mayfields of the world notwithstanding) is reading defenses and setting protections pre-snap. This is because the majority of college coaches essentially do the thinking for QBs at that level. So they come into the league being able to make all the throws they need to, but they take longer to get up to snuff when it comes to processing. We saw this with Mahomes and Belichick took full advantage of it.

Mahomes is a great young player but he's not a finished product yet and let's be absolutely clear about one thing -- leading a team to the playoffs once isn't even CLOSE to a level where anyone might say that some kind of torch has been passed. If he makes it to the playoffs multiple seasons in a row, then yer talking.

Absolutely. He has a long way to go. His footwork is still awkward at times, most likely always will be. Almost a calling card at this point. He's looked human a number of times. Has to be more consistent. I just hate pretending or living in fantasy land. Plenty of things to criticize him on we dont need to go to this losers level.

The jury is out on how good Mahomes will really be.

Lock for MVP this year but will he be at an MVP level next year once the league figures out on tape how the Patriots kept him in check in the first half? I’m not so sure.

The Greatest Show on Turf was halted once they were exposed by BB in the Super Bowl. We’ll see if that Chiefs offense has the same fate,

Mahomes has been good at reading defenses. His post snap reads and recognition has been stellar, a big improvement over the previous Chiefs QB.

He does need to improve on setting protections and still needs to improve pre-snap

To be fair Rivers didn’t look any better against the Patriots blitz. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the best defensive mind in football. Belichick has befuddled Elway, Kelly, Warner, and at times, Manning. He’s the best

How many times has he had to come off of his first read, though? Life is easier for a QB with a guy like Hill who can still get behind a defense even when they're in deep thirds.

You accuse me of treating Brady like an individual when your entire argument is based on Mahomes’ individual stats?

You can’t have your cake and eat it, pal.

You still place statistics over winning - and while Brady has obviously been blessed with better coaching, he’s typically had less to work with on offence over the years (certainly compared to the Chiefs this season or Peyton’s Colts back in the day) - but he still delivers victories.

Can we take a second to talk about this figure of speech? What a crock of **** it is. Imagine telling someone they can't eat THEIR cake. IT'S THEIR CAKE! THEY CAN BOTH HAVE IT AND EAT IT.

You mean the Pats' DL and linebackers were stunting and looping around one another and disguising their pressure for a reason?!?!

Seriously though, I totally agree (it's not as if your point can even be argued). That's what this KC guy is missing.

If he gets a handle on that eventually, he has the ability to be one of the all time greats. But that's what is holding him back right now.

A number of times. I watched him every week. A real breath of fresh air after Alex Smith.

But Belichick smartly exploited his pre-snap weaknesses (as did the Ravens and Cardinals)

They technically can eat it, they just won't have it anymore if they do. They can have it or eat it, the two are mutually exclusive. Though I guess you could say that it's in their stomach if they eat it, so they still have it.

Hang on, I have to make a logic table for this! Lol

This cost the superbowl, we all know it. Mahomes > Brady

Since you brought up a refs call it's time to face the facts. If not for the officials helping the Chiefs avoid being shut out (Kelce with two handed pushoffs, holding by the KC DB's, blatant pick plays and multiple phantom PI calls) KC and Kaepernick II don't score a single TD and the game probably ends in a 38-3 blowout.

You should feel honored that your team got to play against the GOAT QB and HC in a meaningful playoff game and with help from the refs kept it close.

Once they eat it they don't have it anymore.

I love old sayings.
