how appropriate...destined to become rotten GREEN cheese

Is this thread still open? What more can possibly be said about the Jets sucking?

The Jete will continue to provide. Like herpes they are the 'gift' that keeps on giving.

This thread is an abiding public service addressing mental health, proper hygiene and ecological concerns. Jete suckage is a pernicious threat that must be vigilantly monitored -- especially during the off season, when the franchise and its fans are most active.

I was shocked and dismayed to find that this important thread had come to be buried on the second page of the messageboard.

But I've now come to see that it reflects a deep paradox.

The J-E-T-E have demonstrated how to suck for seventeen weeks (yes, they sucked during the bye week too), fired their coach for incompetence and failure, failed to fire their GM for incompetence and failure, and are now well on their way to setting up 2019 as another season of incompetence and failure, one which will doubtless be disgraced by further episodes of unprofessionalism and delinquency on the part of their players (see Post 1 of this thread for a staggering list of past transgressions).

The Pats, on the other hand, are working as hard as they can to prolong the 2018 season, as are seven other competent franchises.

So what season is it? What is there left to say about the J-E-T-E 2018 suckage when they have already got a head start in sucking in 2019?

No one should be surprised to know the Colts rebuilding is mainly from their fleecing of the Jete in 2018. Three second round picks, and they move down three spots to draft an all-pro rookie guard. It will be surprising if Mayfield doesn’t come out of this QB field as the clear winner and probably the only long-term starter. So once again the Jete made the worst move imaginable and managed to destroy their franchise, despite sitting in a favorable position with numerous first round graded QBs available. So many in the NY press described their situation as “can’t lose” but they managed to in a huge way.

Now the pathetic Jete have the third overall pick in the draft WITHOUT having tanked and WITHOUT parting with extra draft picks to get there. What should they do with it? They have NO CHOICE but to draft a quarterback! They will be in position to snag the BEST college signal caller in the entire draft, with only the Cardinals and 49ers ahead of them already set at QB. If they think Dam Darnit is the answer (he isn't) and pass up this golden opportunity to land a genuine franchise quarterback, they will regret it for many years to come.

If Fatboy McCarthy is only interested in the Jets and if the Jets are indeed looking for their next head coach, WHY has he not been signed yet? WHAT POSSIBLE REASON would the Jete have to delay this signing when staffs all around the league have already filled out their HC slots?

Excellence takes time.

Patience. Wisdom. Excellence.

The Jet way.

I heard there’s a once-in-a-generation Long Snapper that just declared for the draft. He and Jamal Adams can snag an all-pro award every season (without making any difference in their win/loss record)!

The Jete were stupid for not keeping Blowes -- as if he was the problem. The PROBLEMS are GM Maccromagnon and incompetent ownership.

sounds like a launch code from Dr. Strangelove....PWE...well, now I know something new...excellence takes at least 50 plus years. Interdasting

Just stop it. You don't know enough about even your own team to offer anything relevant and your lame attempts at humor are even worse.

The Jete Way knows nothing about "Excellence" and "How Much Time it Takes", not to mention it doesn't know anything about "Patience" or "Wisdom".

The Jete way is, "Throw money at the problem, try to soak the fans for every last dime, make big, splashy moves that get headlines, and when we lose, who cares, those suckers always come back for more."

The Jete way.
