Gronk caught a pass and rumbled another 10 to 15 yards. The play was negated by some sort of blocking penalty, on 83 Dwayne Allen, I believe. The senile commentators barely mentioned it and failed to explain it.

Was it legit or not? If so what was the infraction?

Looked totally bogus to me but I'm obviously not an Xs and Os guy.

IIRC, CBS didn't even show the replay, which tells there was absolutely nothing there.

My wife and I were laughing all afternoon at the commentators. I'm not usually one to care or complain, but these guys were comically bad. The obvious ball bouncing off jet receiver then off the turf then into another jets hands, and one of them scream touchdown! Then hes saying it may have bounced off a leg.

Questioning obvious Pats touchdown by white.

No explanation on gronk catch phantom penalty.

There were many others.

They basically called DA for OPI for a pick play. Not a good call but I believe that was the thinking on that flag.

Dwayne Allen ran out in a pattern and and a Jet defender not only initiated contact with Allen, he then held him. Allen tried to break the hold and somehow managed to get called for OPI. Ridiculous call.

This. Huge boos at the stadium after they showed the replay. Bogus call negated a nice play by Gronk.

I was shocked they didn't make a reference to the fact that being Walt Coleman's last game that he was the ref for the Tuck Rule game. Even when Brady went up to talk to him first at the end not any of the Jet's players. I would have loved to hear that conversation. "Walt I wish we had you for all our games not just the snowy ones."

They showed a replay once I think. There was nothing. It was a bogus call.

I had no idea, then I saw Brian Hoyer wanting to shake his hand thinking well that's very respectful of Hoyer, then I understood it when Brady ran over to Walt Coleman.

Most interesting fact is Walt Coleman never reffed another raiders game. I'm guessing the ghost of Al Davis had something to do with that. I have a hard time believing any other ref is not reffing a game that has a certain team in it.

Somebody please send Fouts to the shuffleboard court already ffs

That is obscene if true.

Well! I thought (when they showed the replay) that Allen was clearly blocking before the ball was thrown.

It was a bad call ...
I think he called it because Allen's hands were high up in the collar area ... just a guess.
