Yep and even though Tom might be dinged up, I'm not seeing any reason to dump him.

I have no idea why you are getting killed for what you said. You are down on their chances. So what?

I'm not getting killed. I'm the one doing the killing. That was a first round knockout. The other poster just doesn't know it yet.

I’m good with B.B. deciding. I doubt that trade story but never know but if anyone other than Tom himself deciding, I am not going to like it and might really be aggravated. However, you gotta trust someone to know when to do these things. I’ll be fine with it by pre season. I think he should be offered a front office position if he wants to hang it. Quarterback coach or something

You posted somewhere else about fans quitting on the team when it was 1992. I remember 1992 and the other horrific seasons after 1981 this franchise has endured. They sucked.

As a fan, there is nothing worse than hopelessness. Sure, watching the games is entertaining but KNOWING your team will most likely lose and not make the playoffs really is a killer. It sucks the life out of you. I'm not sure the fans born in the mid-80s and afterwards really know how awful from September to December a 2-14 season really is. Love Tom but no thanks. I'm not going though that.

If a winning season and being a contender means Tom can't be here, so be it.
My memories of the Pats from 76-86 was basically "we are awesome" lol. We only had one **** year in that stretch. The most other years during that stretch they were loaded in areas. People forget about the brutal completion in the AFC in the 70s and early 80s, and that it was harder to get in the playoffs.

The only real complaint was that they actually underachieved because at times they were considered a powerhouse in that stretch. Howard Cosell thought they were!

Great News! Now let TB get over his "MCL" and get him some Real NFL Receivers next season and THEN i'll make judgement on his play. Will he be another year older and some possible age showing, sure, but, at this point I trust his desire & heart to keep playing.

Yea the 70s were just a little before I could claim I was a fan. I started following with emotion and knowing the players during the 80 season when I started Pop Warner.

The quarterback has been average in every sense of the word even BEFORE his "injury". He ranked middle of the pack in everything...lets not kid ourselves into thinking this "injury" turned him into Chad Pennington....I've been saying it all season, the lack of red zone td production is a direct result of the quarterback and his inability to function near the goal line. McDaniels has been run, run, run in the red zone - why? Even when the tight end was respectable it was run, run, throw away in the end zone...Christ, even when he was playing well - 1st half Miami, the quarterback missed a wide open Hogan in the end zone by about 10 yards...Brady made this pass in his sleep....when he used to participate in the voluntary workouts
Do you need another **** kicking?

Well, good luck to him beating out Danny Etling. I’ll be rooting for him.

Of course I would want the team to be 14-2 as opposed to 4-12 but since no one can ever guarantee one or the other I will take my chances with Brady.

I think Kraft already overruled Bill. Brady leaves when he wants to!

I love Tom, I want to watch him play longer and probably at a level that the rest of you frontrunning pieces of **** would be howling in outrage about, but that's because I'm a loyal guy.

That being said, Tom really needs to stop playing if ducking out of contact is going to be his new approach to maximizing career longevity.

I was embarrassed by 3 or 4 of the duck out throws he made last week and that is not how I want to see my hero end his career. Sure his arm can get ragged, his pocket elusiveness can deteriorate but if he's losing his guts we're ****ed.

I’m cool with that too. I’d be hard pressed to fault Kraft in an emotional decision after what I saw in The 28-3 super bowl. Never saw anything like it and don’t expect to ever see such a game again

I got a sinking feeling when I saw those.

I don't think his wife approves the message. That said I would still invest in the QB Position going forward.

How so? Beasley and Cobb are both under 30. Beasley would come in and immediately assume the role left behind by Amendola's departure. Crowder is 25 and is averaging 13.6 yards a catch even considering the situation that Washington has had at QB this season. Crowder, in particular, would be an immediate upgrade to every WR on this roster not named "Edelman."

Like the two guys you mentioned not Randall Cobb he's brittle and always hurt the Gronk of WR's. The RFA market for WR looks strong in 2019. I would even think about a Trade with the Steelers for one of their guys not named AB and Juju.

I hear you, but if it's an injury (and seems like it is), him bailing early can just be a protection not to be knocked out for the season on a hit.
