And have an excuse why they did not win the SB.

KC has always been a thug team. Bam Morris and Tamarick Vanover were stealing new cars still on the roster. Andre Rison got in a fight at the "Have a nice day cafe" (dead serious, that was the name.) Larry Johnson assaulted a woman one night out on the town. Klece has had his share of on the field melt downs. Hill is a taunting dooshbag.
When you haven't been to the Super Bowl since the Johnson Administration you get desperate

I don't understand your point.
I apologize for being unclear. FWIW, I was piggybacking off your post, not disagreeing with it.

There is a segment of people who think the NFL should only act if there is a guilty verdict. I disagree with that line of reasoning. Ray Rice is a great reason why. All his charges were dropped so the people who subscribe to that line of reasoning would say you can't do anything to Ray Rice. Now we have another example of a player who wasn't even charged in the first place. Once again, anyone who subscribes to the reasoning that you can't do anything without a guilty verdict would have to say you can't do anything to Hunt.

Those are beliefs I just can't get on board with.

Funny how much the Pats are in some of these fan bases heads. Reading pats conspiracy theories from a couple moonbats over at ChiefsPlanet that the pats leaked the video.

It seems plausible that they didn't. The hotel isn't going to release a video without a court order, Hunt isn't going to show them a video and the girls involved apparently didn't show them so I'm not sure how the Chiefs could have seen it.
Well this is a corrupt organization we're talking about. So I don't think a court order is going to stop them.

I'm basically thinking out loud here. I'm trying to figure out how responsible we should expect each party to be or how should the system work.

And before he was hired by the Eagles, there were rumors that Doug Pederson (KC's OC at the time) was about to be forced out for engaging in extramarital activities... Andy Reid gave him a glowing recommendation but neglected to mention the other thing that could have driven down his price...Supposedly it came to a head with a shouting match at the combine between Reid and Eagles front office who felt they were deceived.....Sleazy things out of KC.....

Lowest possible life forms if humans involved. No offense to any humans reading this post.

The AP incident to me was the most appalling. Again, videotape makes all the difference because people lack an imagination.
The child beater admitted he is still beating his child. Not a peep from fans so the NYJFL* are letting this get swept under the rug. Now that's messed up.

While you're cheering fire goodell, the corrupt 32 are giggling as you go after the fall guy.
The corrupt 32 will always be corrupt, be nice if they had a commissioner that wasnt.

IMHO, what should - but never will - happen is the league and union agree on a schedule of punishment for various offenses. The league would be responsible for implementing punishments with each player having the right to an appeal heard by a neutral, independent arbitrator.

I just don't understand why the league is so opposed to neutral arbitration. It gives them the perfect chance to wipe their hands clean of the whole situation. If a neutral arbitrator overturns a suspension, the league can say "hey don't blame us, we tried to suspend the guy..."

Hell, it doesn't even matter if it is a woman or a man in this situation.

But it does.
Objectively it shouldn't...but it does.

I don’t think they’re intrinsically opposed to it (and there is neutral arb for some stuff already). They just don’t want to give it up for free - they want the players to concede some $ in return for it.

Some of those attacks on DI were way over the top. So much for Ian’s rules....

Since Orwell's '1984' was already brought up in this thread I'll draw from his well again
"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

IIRC, the neutral arbitration in place right now involves things like injury grievances and PED testing. I do not believe there is any neutral arbitration for "integrity of and public confidence in the game" issues.

The video I saw was video taken by her friend on her phone. Was any of that video hotel video?

So my guess is that her friend or someone who got a copy of that video sent it to TMZ for some X-mas shopping cash. Not sure I expect the NFL to gain access to a friend's phone.

I think it's still the same situation- surely a $2 billion organization would have the brains or assets to investigate the matter thoroughly, and in the age of the smartphone, at least have the wherewithal to find out if anyone had recorded the incident. They could have easily hire a crack private investigator with connections.

After seeing the video for myself, I think this is way over blown. I am strongly against a man hitting a woman but this barely even qualifies as assault imo. I've seen people tickled with more force than that weak ass kick lol.

I think the authorities were right in chalking this up to a drunken night and not pressing charges.

I think KC overreacted by releasing him. Honestly, if he kicked a man, no one would care.

Can someone explain to me the obsession with the Redskins with this guy?

Why are the Redskins the front runners, if Goodell let's Hunt back?
