Brees TD pass first drive. Brady has 1 in three games.

What's your point? Brees will get a TD every drive and Brady will get one every three games from now on? Is that how they're defined now? And since when is throwing a TD pass vs scoring on a running one a poor reflection on QB play? Pats have scored a lot this year, just not by the pass as much. Yes, Titans game he sucked..... everyone did. Don't put too much weight on that.

Drew Brees is just insane this year. Just about the best I've seen. Dude deserve to be conversation of top 3-5 QBs ever. IMO he's way ahead of Peyton and Rodgers. If I had to pick 1 QB to build a franchise around, i'd pick Brady 1 and Bress 2.

He’s 151-107 in his career. I get that he’s had some big challenges, but the notion that this anything close to his normal season is ridiculous. Bottom line is he cannot carry a team consistently like Rodgers and Manning. You can talk about the problems with the Saints, but in their primes no matter who they had, Rodgers and Manning had their teams atop the division if not a playoff bye. I haven’t seen Brees will the team to victory and right the ship in the same way. Brees has eight seasons where his teams were .500 or worse. I don’t see how a supposed generational quarterback can get off the hook so easy. It seems like Brees has been somewhat under appreciated for awhile but there is also a reason he isn’t in that top tier class. Now it’s like people are trying to make up for their underappreciation by over the top praise. He’s gone from being on most people’s top 8-12 greatest QBs list to 1-5 based on a ten game stretch? Short memories.

It's a team game. People try to make excuses for Peyton and Rodgers with the whole "Brady has BB", but with Brees, there is something to be said about the defenses he has usually had. A few times, he's had a defense good enough to get to the playoffs and a few times to the Superbowl. But usually, it's bottom of the league. Those .500 or worse years, he usually led his team with a top 3-5 offense (in some years #1), but the defense was just so bad that if they didn't put up 30+, they lose. Hell, look at 2015. 32 TD, 11 INTs, 4800+ yards (led the league), 101 rating. Defense? 32nd, giving up nearly 30 pts per game. Even Brady wouldn't make the playoffs with that bad a defense. You can't blame that on Drew. No QB is going to put 40 on the board 16 weeks in a row.

Now, yeah, he isn't Brady, but you have to take things in perspective.
