Starting Eason murdered our chances for Super Bowl titles in '85, '86 and '88.

Local media did not make a big thing of it.

They liked Eason, just as they liked Bledsoe.

Thanks for supplying a response with your disagree. I've never understood those who can't even try to back up their opinions.

As for Henderson's quote, it really goes back to what I remembered as the lack of respect for Bradshaw. I'd be curious to see how many times Henderson fooled that "dummy" on the field. Not many by the looks of things.

My memories of those two are that Bledsoe was also a fan favorite while Eason was not.

I suppose that depends on your definition of GOAT, but he was the best in the 70's.

I'm not even sure I'd put Bradshaw in the top ten of 1970's QB's, he certainly isn't in my top 5. Just off the top of my head and in no particular order I'd take Stabler, Staubach, Fouts, Griese, Kilmer, Tarkenton, Anderson, Plunkett and Jones over Bradshaw all day everyday and twice on Sunday.

He was measured with the same tape that says Julian Edelman is 6'0".

Eh, I gather you're not a huge fan of TB12 the Ist...

Like Favre, he had raw talent. And he possesed the desire to win. He tried to get out of town and away from Noll, couldn't, and then sucked it up and won four rings until he got hurt.

I hate the Squealers, but the guy has character, and I respect him.

Staubach, Anderson, Plunkett... Bradshaw was better than the rest. Perfectly okay to hate him.

And, as usual, nobody cares what Pats fans think.

And to be specific, Bledsoe was adored by Kraft/flying Elvis fans.

    Big difference.

My Father always said that Unitas was the GOAT even with Brady and 4 rings.

You can say well Brady has the most rings with 5, but Montana never lost a SB. Jim Kelly took his team to 4 straight SBs.

I have no particular hate for Bradshaw, I simply (and correctly) stated he was not the best QB of the 70's. He was a very good QB on a truly great team.

Your Father probably had more than his fair share of GOAT arguments. Starr/Unitas was the Brady/Manning argument of it's day but that was the 60's not the 70's. I freely admit I was in the Montana camp until Brady got his 4th ring, when you're splitting hairs hardware is difficult to argue with. Realistically I should have been on the Brady side of it sooner, true FA and a hard cap make it much harder to maintain excellence in this era. While Montana was probably the most complete package (an argument could be made for Rodgers' skill set) I've seen play the position, Brady's football IQ is off the charts and that is one position where brain wins the day. He just sees the game at a higher level than anyone I have ever had the opportunity to watch play.

WORST Turkey Day games...EVER...ALL of them thoroughly boring and NON-competitive...

Why the FECK wasn't Brady allowed to play on Thanksgiving for an UNPRECEDENTED THIRD TIME?!? We would almost certainly have one less loss on our record now.
