I could care less about how this league is going...but if our Team didn't have an Offense or players who could compete at the level of those Top Offenses *when healthy* then I would worry.:)

It's shame we lost to two Crap Teams like the Lions and Titans. IF we lose out on any of those Bye-weeks we can just look back at those games.

So it’s fixed when the patriots don’t win but not when they do?

No need to worry about past games. The path to a bye is right in front of us.

Like I said, they were a really good team but got help in the NFCCG. If the refs had bothered to call even one roughing the passer penalty, the vikings would have won.

The NFL has traditionally relaxed those calls in the postseason. The Vikings also would have won had Favre not thrown across his body and into the hands of the Saints' safety (Sharper, I believe).

That was the very same Tracy Porter who would pick six Manning a couple weeks later. :)

There was actually a lot more defense played last night than in last year's Super Bowl. Last night the two teams were forced to punt a combined 7 times. It's just that the offenses kept attacking, down the field, all night long.

I know you don't follow college ball, but I have news for you: it's not looking much more promising for the defensive side of the ball on the horizon.

You might be right but with 2 minutes left, the Vikings have the ball on the Saints 30 yard line, all they need is a field goal to go up 41-38. Favre is high-lowed by two saints well-after the whistle. No call. The game goes to OT and the vikings lose.

Also, Mike Periera, then head of officiating also commented that in another instance in the 3rd quarter Favre was hit well after the whistle that should have been flagged for roughing the passer, wiping out an interception.

Pereira talks about controversial calls in Saints-Vikings overtime

Thought both teams defensive fronts were disruptive at times. It’s just both of these secondaries are atrocious. Pair that with the talent on the opposing offenses and we get what we saw last night. But this is how it’s going to be if your not allowed to even touch the WRs.
