That ain’t happening. Could be injuries that cause that but otherwise no.
9-2 already.. they lose one more and Pats win out we are over them and Houston.

The three way tie breaker only joneses is if The Chargers beat out the Chiefs fir their division.. which after last nights rams loss, if the chargers win out they take the division.., we end up 2 seed now if Pats Houston and Chargers win out.

If all three win out, who gets the top seed?

I’d take this scenario every day of the week simply due to the fact that NE would still get a first round bye, and that the threat of having to play at KC or at PIT would be removed. It also forces the most explosive AFC team (thus far) to play an extra game and to go on the road as a WC.

I don't think this is a terribly serious post but if we go 13-3 I think it's safe to assume the flaws we've observed were dealt with. Personally I'm expecting 11 or 12 wins (potential losses @Mia, @PIT).
If Houston gets the #2 seed at 13-3 or 12-4, I hope we can manage the #3 seed. Win against the #6 and get to play a team potentially ripe for the picking. Can you imagine that playoff failures like Kansas City and Houston are so close to being the teams with byes? With San Diego as a likely #5, I can also see them beating the #4 then going into Kansas City and winning. Suddenly the #3 gets a home game in the AFC championship.

Always thought the Pats "played to the level of competition", i.e they do not play as well against middle of the pack/poor teams and play best against the better teams...

For example we played pretty good against the Chiefs, Bears, Colts and Packers less so against Jags, Lions and Titans..

You're basing that on what they've become. The Colts were considered bottom of the league when we played them and the Bears only a possible wild card contender at best. Meanwhile the Jags were considered a SB contender.

I think it came down to 3 teams who had a strategy on how to combat the Patriot's strategy.

Precisely. Also, all 3 teams know/ are fairly familiar with NE.

Conversely all three teams are fairly familiar to NE, did we lose that advantage??... my eyeball test tells me that they play really well against the upper tier teams and less so among the struggling teams..

The Minnesota game is no gimme.
