Monday Night on BSPN: Giants-49ers Nick Mullinsmania Official Game Thread

this mutt ,Tessitore HAS TO GO. Vacuous blithering idiot...where the hell did they dredge HIM up..the sewer line outside 345 Park Avenue? TWO timouts called by the Giants and this idiot is blithering on and on about HOF Ecry...WTF????????????
That's the same guy saying Eli had a perfect playoff record earlier?

he's just one of these out of nowhere butt remoras (sphincter suckers) that are proliferate at league HQ's...never heard of this vacuous azzole until this year. A to Z this league is a sham...thanx to Goondell

Didn’t future HOF pass rusher Cassius Marsh say that the Patriots misused him by asking him to play in coverage? The 49ers just had him running with receivers at least twice in that last drive. And when he was going after Eli, he wasn’t getting close.

It's funny how many times these receivers are over the line of scrimmage in these clock it situations and it's not called. Dude was at least a yard over.

Like father like son as far as Hockaloogie goes...calls a penalty on the final play...ego mad jerkoff..just like Dad

Did Van Pelt just call this an all time classic?

Booger is exhausting. He compared OBJ's antics to Brady and now he says Eli should never go into the HOF. I've been seeing a trend with this *******, and I'm sure it's not just me. Must be taking notes from his friend, Sapp.
In his defense, he is right about shEli not being HOF-worthy.

Kittle would be the perfect replacement for Gronk. He's like a mini him; can block well and he's explosive. Make it happen.
Should've happened already.

But hey, who needs George Kittle when we have the "elite blocking" of Dwayne Allen?

Shanaham is a terrible coach, he doesn't know how to close games. Yesterday that kid was making all the throws, getting 1st downs and in that drive before the 2 minute warning he insisted on that running game that wasn't very good, all those pitch to RB, every five attempts they would get a good run in one. Every time putting the kid on 3rd and 7.

Shanaham tried to burn clock with too much clock left in a short area, they got into the red zone with 4:24 left, you go for the TD and let the other team solve their problems, don't create a problem for your team. He flat out focused on burning clock and had to settle for 3 and gave the ball back to Eli with a full 2 minutes left automatically in 4th down territory, worst case scenario.

In the SB he needed to run and he went for the pass, yesterday he could have trusted the kid in making a pass on 1st or 2nd down and he went with the run.

In his defense, he is right about shEli not being HOF-worthy.

The announcers touched on the factors that will get Eli into the HOF: 2 SB wins, top 10 all time in passing yards and passing TDs. Left unsaid, but maybe more important than those is that his last name is Manning and he played in New York. Something else that they mentioned that I hadn't realized is that Eli's career record is 113-110. With 7 games to go this season, his career record by the end of the season will still be hovering around .500.

If you look at the other QBs who are also in the top 10 in yards and TDs, almost everyone else is well above .500. That includes his contemporaries, like Rivers and Roethlisberger, as well as Elway, Brady, Marino, Favre, Peyton, Brees, Rodgers, etc. The only players in the top 10 with those stats who are close to .500 are Tarkenton (124-109-6) and Warren Moon (102-101.) Barring an injury, Moon is going to be knocked out the top 10 in passing yards by the end of next year by Matt Ryan. That will mean all those QBs not only put up great numbers, but their teams also won a lot, except for Eli.

The announcers also discussed Eli's lack of playoff success outside of the SB years. In a 15 year career, his team has made the playoffs 6 times and only won a playoff on 2 of those occasions. You can't diminish that those 2 time resulted in 2 championships, but there's no other great playoff performance to point to, like a run to the NFCCG one year. Brady gets held to a ridiculous standard, like he didn't win a SB for 10 years or losing a SB is worse than not making the playoffs. Meanwhile, Eli has missed the playoffs in 6 of the last 7 seasons (counting this year) and has zero playoffs wins over that span.

Manning will get in the HOF for the reasons I mentioned in the first paragraph. He definitely doesn't deserve to be considered among the all time great QBs, though.
