Many in the conference too, not a particular strong AFC. Chiefs need to prove they can win a playoff game, think they have one in Reid’s five year tenure. We’ll see, but there are too many question marks for me right now
These dinky salaries are nothing compared to the billions of dollars Kroenke is dumping into the new stadium and surrounding area.

I understand the hesitation in assuming that KC will be a contender, but their team seems to be different with all of that talent, this year. I think they’re a legit threat, without question. Many in the conference too, not a particular strong AFC. There’s an argument that they probably should have explored another RB last week. They could still consider it now, before an additional injury to Michel. Not quite that simple. It’s a percentage chance, whether it’s 75% or 50% or 25%, it’s tough to say.
That said, I don’t think a single trade would have increased that % that much.
I think we’ll have to find a RB to mitigate the potential impact of Sony’s absence if he gets hurt again once he returns.

I think if the Pats win the AFC, it will still be well deserved, despite the opinion that it’s a weak conference. You have KC, PIT, SD, HOU—maybe even BAL as a wildcard, and I think two or three wins in a row against that kind of competition would be impressive and well earned.

I think both teams are top notch squads, and there’s certainly a chance that NE would need to defeat both (or N.Orleans) on their way to another SB.I agree, with the current rules and ways games are being called, I fear KC much more then I do the rams.

Any way you look at it, there are most definitely plenty of teams that pose a threat to the Patriots, particularly when you consider the idea of winning 3 or 4 in a row against that level of competition.
Chargers are another team that needs to prove they can even make the playoffs. I think a less talented team like Miami makes it instead.I understand the hesitation in assuming that KC will be a contender, but their team seems to be different with all of that talent, this year. For me personally, it’s not necessarily one specific team. It’s the idea of defeating that level of opponent in 3 (hopefully not 4) consecutive games that is a bit concerning.Maybe it is just me but I will not overthink the potential matchups with KC or any NFC team until we are in January. Situations change in football so quickly due to injuries.. who knows what KC team arrives in the playoffs. One high ankle sprain to Hill and the team might look a lot less impressive.
With Bosa coming back soon and a 5-2 record, I’d be surprised if they didn’t make it. Even if they go 4-5 with Bosa returning, they’d still finish 9-7 and most likely have a WC spot.Chargers are another team that needs to prove they can even make the playoffs.
