We're on to Buffalo

Well on the plus side, Derek Alexander isn't one of those "running QB's". We got THAT going for us..... at least.

Monday night in Buffalo Just bildo's being throw on the field would be a best case scenario.

This is most always a tough physical game, even though we in most of the time, and this team hasn't proven it can play a complete game on the road yet. On offense we should expect a real heavy test of our run defense. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bills approach 40 runs this game, even if the Pats are ahead.

On paper this should be an easy win, but we should know by now that that's not how it turns out all too often. I expect to see us end up winning by 10+ in this game, but I also expect us to be "in a game" well into the 4th quarter because the Buffalo defense is a good one.

I wonder if they’ll sound the train horn after every play and when the Pats are in the huddle? Remember those days?

Duke returns to practice as expected . can be activated to 53 roster for week 9
Pats have 5 weeks window to activate him. With Bentley and Burkhead also on IR it will be interesting to see how it plays out on 3 positions that could use more depth.

Question about the IR-DtR rules: Now that Dawson is practicing, he counts as one of our two designated to return slots, right? Even if he never makes it back to the field (ala Shea McClellin), that's one slot gone?

Dawson was expected to return anyway. Second guy coming back should be Burkhead, all of the others are presumed to remain on IR until next season.

If it's Burkhead hopefully he stays healthy, him Sony and White will be deadly rotation for defenses.

Yea I think he does, think he has to be activated first idk.

I think Bentley is unlikely to come back with torn biceps, timetable for his recovery was like 3-4 months. Hill is gone for the season. Others were IR-d well before the season opener, most of them (Berrios, Sam etc) werent even considered to be active this year and they were shelved for developmental purposes..

Good point. I believe you might be right. IIRC practicing did activate designation in McC case. That would mean one of Bentley, Burkhead have season ending injuries since they were both starters unlike Dawson and the need of depth is similar at all those positions..

I've always assumed Bentley was out for the year, unfortunately. I think I saw some reports on that, and if it is a pec injury, I doubt they'd want to risk re-injury so early in the kids career. Those can be death for a linebacker.

With Sony most likely out this week this seems to be the likely RB move.

With Rowe re-injuring his groin iirc and trade deadline coming up who knows what the other moves will be.. If Rowe does go to IR than it could be Farrow for 1-2 weeks and then Dawson for Farrow..

Maybe I’m wrong but I thought they had to be activated first to count as one of the slots.

If Derek Anderson goes 250 yards plus and more than 17 pts I'll be concerned. Divisional game or not this should be a blowout win. Please no more injuries
He is going to do that. This has Dan Orlovsky game written all over it. Pats need to score at least 30.
