Then that would be a poor decision.
Agreed.
I hope it isn't major. But a hard lesson nonetheless.

Just stop it. Yeah, he hangs on the ball too long EXCEPT for when he completes passes with his quicker-than-average release and superior accuracy. Got it. What happened to him today was a freak non-contact injury that had absolutely nothing to do with "poor decision making" or in your nonsensical assessment being "injury prone."
Who's stopping you?Can we start an injury thread for every NFL player that has been injured, cause some guy on the Cowboys May have just broken his arm and I would like to start a thread about it.
CONFIRMED.....
The "G" in Jimmy G stands for GLASS
Ya beat me to it.Y'all need to quit talking about Brady avoiding injuries.
That was irrelevant to the injury. He's a competitive football player trying to win from behind, that's why he was running with the ball.I’ve have no issues with the cutback if there was a big play to be gained but he cut back right into a defender. What did he expect to do, run him over on his way for a td? Wasn’t happening, he should’ve known better and got out of bounds to set up for the 4th and goal play.
Funny to see all the postings talking as if this was a reckless move by Garoppolo. This was basically a young athlete making a routine cut while running and for whatever reason, his knee got twisted. **** happens. If he is so fragile that he cannot make a cut then we would have to say that he is simply not built for playing the vast majority of sports and should take up golf or darts instead.
No . I saw him scramble and dive, head first for a 1st down, with multiple defenders bearing down.I didn't see Wentz play today but I'm wondering if he has changed his game any
...Suggs, Suh, Lame Johnson, ...Except for Bernard Pollard, Ryan Clark, and Aquib Talib. They can get injured every day and twice on Sundays for all I care.
this is because he was locked out of the TB in all seriousness, sucks for the guy. but im really surprised he didnt protect himself when the potential gain was marginal. rule 1 of being a patriot is protecting yourself. being available to the team for the long run is more valuable that marginal yards
I didn't watch the game live. Just watched Jimmy's injury play. Not sure if a flag was thrown. No . I saw him scramble and dive, head first for a 1st down, with multiple defenders bearing down.
He made the play, but damn the mobile, risky QB's don't last long.
BTW, did the defender who hit JG, helmet to helmet, get penalized?
I know it wasn't the hit that took him out, just curious.
No, it was a non-contact injury. From the sounds of it, the injury was a fairly direct consequence of choosing to fight for a couple of yards rather than going out of bounds.
