Everyone’s in love with Patterson on this board. I honestly don’t know what the guy can bring offensively. He has a hard time getting separation. We need to hope edelman goes back to being the same explosive player or that a guy like Dorsett or britt step up big time.
You are more hopeful about a 6th round pick who has never played a snap in the NFL than a guy who has been a sold 3-4th WR his whole career and is a HOF KO return guy to boot?Count me as more hopeful about Berrios than Patterson.
...I know there’s been a lot of back and forth on who we all THINK Belichick will keep wide receiver wise on his final 53, but which receivers would you prefer as your final 5 (not including Slater, just pure receivers).
I am hoping these 5 are the final 5.
Hogan
Edelman
Dorsett
Patterson
Decker
I think that’s a good mix of receivers that are also versatile (some can play outside or slot, some can be return men, Patterson can even run from the backfield).
I think we carry one of Berrios or McCarron for the 4 games Edelman is out, and then try to sneak him on to the PS.
Bingo! It was Tuna who gave him the nickname.
Why?Count me as more hopeful about Berrios than Patterson.
I think that Edelman talking last week about Berrios’ nickname in a weird way is a good sign. You don’t name a pet you are about to put down.Count me as more hopeful about Berrios than Patterson.
From the "you never know" file:
FWIW, Hogan and Dorsett had multiple drops today as well.
Edelman makes friends and tough catches, he doesn't make personnel decisions.I think that Edelman talking last week about Berrios’ nickname in a weird way is a good sign. You don’t name a pet you are about to put down.
Count me as more hopeful about Berrios than Patterson.
True, but for some, they are competing for one of the two bottom positions. Any choice would have advantages and disadvantages.Completely different player types who'd have completely different roles.
...
hogan
Jules
Dorsett
Patterson
Britt
Decker
we go 6

For me, we are pretty close to closure with Edelman, Hogan, Dorsett, Patterson plus Britt or Decker.
You never know what a player's future performance will be.You never know what file?
Someone doesn't get it... Oh Well. I guess we have a fan of slug like slowness among us.May the quickest receiver win a job
Since the #4WR and #5WR have averaged a TOTAL of one catch a game, I think that six is totally unnecessary. The only reason that we need 5 is that more than one of the receivers will be coming back from an injury.
Meow...Dorsett has the Cat like quickness we all crave. I hope the positive reports about him are genuine.
