Rooting for Britt.
Since I was there with a decent view of the receiver drills...it was not a good day for him. He was thrown 3 passes that I saw and dropped all 3 including where he fell and seemed to tweak his leg. Couldn't tell if it was the hamstring or something else other than he was done. After falling he slammed his helmet down, signaling he was finished.

I can't tell what difference there is between McCarron and Berrios. They'll be returning kicks Thursday so that'll provide some insight. They were the only two taking kickoffs. McCarron moves more like Edelman (shiftier), Berrios more like a young Amendola (smoother).

Decker did not look out of place for what the day was about.

It was a light day overall with a heavy dose of the kicking game. Allen has a much more accurate leg than Cory B's big leg.

Couldn't see a lot of what the defense was doing on the far end so I won't/can't comment on what they were doing except Danny Shelton gave my nephew an autograph and posed for a photo with him (and for anyone that asked), seemed like a decent guy smiling the whole time even though he was soaking wet from the torrential rain.

Glad to hear the good news on Sony. I'm worried about the lack of news on Cannon. Sony is the sexier topic but Cannon to me is more important. With Wynn and Brown maybe we can get by but a good OT isn't something you can just shrug off.

This is what you said.
BEST CASE SCENARIO IS IR

I am suggesting that since the people who know first hand what his medical status is have him on the roster and in pads for practice that your understanding of his situation is probably wrong.
Either that or the professionals just are clueless and should take direction from people like you who don’t know the whole story but want to act like you do.

I give up. You have zero reading comprehension.

Phew so glad I was reserved on Britt. He does have a history of Leg Issues. Hope he heals whenever good thing we ain't depending on him. If I was BB I we would bring Maclin in just in case for a look.

Great stuff intrigued to see Riley McCarron love the Edelman comparison.

Does not sound good on Britt. Especially the slamming the helmet part. Ugh.

And also it doesn’t sound like Ryan Allen has real competition. Placement and accuracy is much more important than leg strength.

Can you tell us anything about Lucien?
Not really. It was a light day (not much scrimmaging and when there was it was situational and when Brady was QB he looked for 11 and 87). He made all his catches like Hogan, Patterson, Dorset et al.

I think there's only 1 more Public Training Camp day - Tuesday.

Which Preseason Game is the dress rehearsal?? Game 2 or 3??

Comments:

a.) Mitchell, say what you want....he has not played a snap for us since Superbowl 51 and yet is still on the team. If it were hopeless, we would have cut bait a long time ago...we have a history of cutting bait on players drafted in the 2nd/3rd round (e.g. Tony Garcia, Brock Williams, etc...). The fact that he has hung around this long, just had a knee procedure 2 weeks ago, and is putting pads on is GOOD NEWS, IMO. The way I see it...the knee will hold up or it won't...and we will find out (e.g. How BB had Katzenmoyer practice to be sure the neck held up before Katz retired).

b.) Yup, worried about Cannon....happy for Michel...but Cannon is important...without him we are shuffling the OL...me no like!

c.) How has Dwayne Allen been looking? Is he even getting some passes thrown his way?

I wanna hear something on cannon. Want this OL to be at full strength. If cannon misses another year it might be time to say goodbye.

From Reiss on Wednesday:

"Starting right tackle Marcus Cannon left Wednesday's practice, but I'm told there is no reason for long-term concern, and it isn't related to last year's ankle injury."

Until I hear otherwise I won't panic about Cannon, but I may fret a little bit about the Pats' LBs.

Well, injured player is also a player and definitely far away from being best.
Speaking of fumbles I meant his college issues in that area. You are right it was only one fumble during the camp but it also confirms Michel has a problem with keeping the ball.
One doesn’t “confirm” anything. He was drafted in round 1 with his fumble history known. Belichick rarely drafts players in round 1 and doesn’t expect major contributions as a rookie.

"Procedure" = arthroscopic surgery. Not ideal.

This sucks hard... At least it will give him plenty of time to know the whole playbook.

It feels like the last few years all of our draft picks get injured early and often
