Wynn will be starting Day 1. He's already better than both guards we have & the best players play on this team. Gotta run but just throwing a few projections out there ...
Cannon Wynn Thuney Mason Brown
Wynn Thuney Andrews Mason Cannon
Thuney Wynn Andrews Mason Cannon
Brown Thuney Mason Wynn Cannon
Dante we trust
He's already better than both guards we have
First, check this out.Can you explain to me what exactly would be the difference if he were 6'4" compared to 6'2" ? And please make it not a one liner but a short explanation what it is that gives you nightmares about those 2 inches difference.
I am honestly curious.
And there's ****ING ANDREWS. Epitome of mediocrity. I'll grant that he is smart as heck (the fact that he is a cap'n proves it), but ****ing geezus he can't v1 against anyone for more than 1s. Please upgrade him
I F***** HATE ANDREWS OKSomeone posted a link to a story about how Andrews had an unexpectedly good 2018 season. You may be working with old information.
First, check this out.

If any lineman cant touch their adversary with their hands. he is defeated. In a highly competitive competition, small differences are key. Being 2-3 inches smaller (on avg) than the adversary, is what can be called "Natural deficiency".
Plenty of arguments can be made against it, but here is another point of mine:
DEs and T are the tallest people on their teams, on avg.
But I want to divert your attention to the spread. First, the DEs have an enormous spread, which is actually good, cause it means that there are opponents that theoretically are on equal terms on said deficiency. (It is not possible to say how relevant this actually is, based on this and without all the data)
Whatever, the thing that is really interesting is that Tackles have a much lower Spread. In fact, based on this graph and with a ruler, you can clearly see there isn't a single point in the sample at 6'2''.
So, for him to be a decent Tackle, he is already an Anomaly. For him to be an excellent Tackle, Statistically, Bill has made a Genius-level type sort of thing
Er, i didn't say that in a single line... I used the hands and reach for an example, not pointSo your issue is not his size but the correlated arm length and wingspan. Correct?
I'm just slotting out of the gate. They'd start off with last year's theoretical starting lineup, but with Brown in for Solder. Players can rise or fall on their own from there. As of this moment, I expect Wynn to compete for game snaps at either OT or LG. Before the Brown trade, I had Wynn penciled in as the starting LT.
We can start with Brown at LT or start with Wynn. IMHO, both will be given every opportunity at every practice and in the pre-season. I haven't a clue who will win this battle. However, for me, one will be the starting LT and the other will be the swing OT.
fair enoughNow that they've brought in Brown, I chose to clear the board for Wynn, until we see where the team puts him in camp.
Wynn is a better all around player than both Mason & Thuney. 100% And he'll be starting day 1.Not likely
me too, but Belichick has drafted two LT's since then.Obviously I've been on the Cannon to LT train but if Brown can do it then great.
