Jarvis Landry traded to Browns

2018 3rd, plus an undisclosed, mid-round pick in 2019. Pretty good value since the Browns have more picks than they know what to do with, and tons of cap space.

Counterpoint: Landry isn't good.

The most annoying part of all of this is that the MIA front office handled this correctly.

They franchise-tagged someone they'd lose otherwise then they got some decent assets back.

A Browns 3rd rounder is almost the same as a late 2nd rounder...

I don't think he's great, but he's a reliable volume receiver for underneath routes and dump offs, which was missing in that receiving corp. I always prefer proven production over the risk of the draft. Gordon and Coleman attract a lot of attention downfield, and Njoku seems to be making strides as well. If they add Barkley in the draft, suddenly their pass catching talent is one of the best groups in the NFL.

Of course, they still don't have a quarterback, so it doesn't matter.

EDIT: Taylor is, at the very least, an upgrade from Kiser. Interesting crew over there.

And the Browns have their trigger man for 2018:

Confirming #Browns have traded for Bills QB Tyrod Taylor

So we can be sure the Browns will be drafting a QB this year.

I respect Landry as well. Dude has an attitude problem and it tough as nails. I like that in a receiver. Now the Browns just have to go out and find a serviceable quarterback. This team has a good amount of talent, only thing holding them back is revolving door at qb and a questionable coaching staff. Dorsey gets a pass until after the season.

Cleveland traded a third-round pick firnQB Tyrod Taylor, per source.

They gave up a 3rd for a caretaker QB.

Counterpoint to the counterpoint: Although not worth the 16 per he’s not a scrub either. I remember seeing a vid of BB miked up during the phins game and numerous times he was making sure the defense knew where Landry was.

After the abysmal showing on offense in the SB I agree, anything to fix the offense.
The super bowl defense was so pathetic that the offense needed to be perfect to win...the offense wasn't perfect, damn good, but it wasn't enough

I mean, it’s still the Browns.....but I kinda, sorta, maybe a little, just a tad bit, in a weird, twisted way, like what they’re doing thus far....I think......

...Did I just write that??...
