Jimmy G reportedly gets his deal:

The 49ers and QB Jimmy Garoppolo have agreed to a five-year, $137.5 million contract, source says. The biggest deal in NFL history on a average-per-year basis.

And THAT'S why we couldn't keep him.

Get it?!?!

Got it?!?!

GOOD!!!

As a side note (to the Gorppolians here): Belichick must be feeling MUCH better now for having been forced to trade him, knowing he would have never been able to (or willing for that matter) pay Jimmy that kind of money, and Jimmy would have walked away anyways.

And there were people in this very forum who thought - and I swear I am not making this up - he would be happy to take a new deal with a backup role in New England..... :D:D:D:D

I'm thinking he's made up for his 4 years being mentored by the Patriots/Brady.

Good for him, though I'm not sure even prime Brady is worth that contract, I expect Jimmy to be a very good QB in the NFL.
