Everybody's favorite doctor chimes in again. ;)And once again, hopefully folks can relax.

Some highlights:

The guy is a quack. There is no way you can have any idea what his hand is like without seeing it or doing an examination. I have no idea what condition the hand is in but I am not going to make something up from other peoples reports.

Im hopeful that the report of four stitches on the knuckle of the thumb is accurate. Out of the scenarios I’ve dreamed up that one is best. It may bleed or come open but it wouldn’t affect him very much beyond the pain.

he has been right alot of times if he knows what the injury is...

Per rotoworld via Jeff Howe.. this to me seems like no big deal.

Tom Brady (hand) is listed as questionable for Sunday's AFC Championship game against Jacksonville.

Brady returned to a limited practice Friday. He needed four stitches to his knuckle after hitting a teammate's helmet on Wednesday but isn't dealing with any structural damage. Brady is fully expected to play through his questionable tag and his hand injury shouldn't impact his passing.

I’ve jammed my thumb back like supposedly happened to Brady. And it hurt like a mofo. Sore for days, hurt every time I moved it. But, it didn’t stop me from living my life like I normally did. Just very sore and tender. That being said, it obviously wasn’t to the extent of Brady’s, I didn’t need stitches. But I think he will play, and play well.

1) He most likely has a way higher pain threshold than me (in fact I know he does).

2) I don’t think holding or gripping a football will be an issue, nor do I think throwing it well will be an issue. I think pain, and things hitting it (helmets, hands, etc) will make the pain worse.

3) I understand the X-ray part of now, IF indeed his thumb was jammed back. My first thought when it happened to me, was that I thought I broke my thumb. Instant horrific pain, but I can assume once they cleared away the blood, then it was smart to check for a break. Also for any torn ligaments.

I think Brady will be Brady. I think if he can just ignore the injury, they can play on you mentally, so if he can ignore it, and just play the game, he will be fine and be at the usual Brady level. IF he wins, then more time for the healing process before the SB.

I feel more confident about this injury than before. The more news that comes out (that he attended practice and was no longer DNP, but limited), and threw passes, makes me feel better about his chances of being his normal self in the game.

It took 48hrs but it seems we are finally getting some corroboration on the actual injury. Again, it depends on what you believe the truth to be.

At any rate, the NEP are going to the SB.

This thread and its parent thread have been a great diversion for me this week - right up there with the JeteSuck! thread for # of laughs/page.

Only way you start Hoyer is if Tom is dead.

If it comes to pass that because of the injury Tom cannot throw then you put Hoyer in.

Sorry RW, ,you're one of my favorite posters here.
But I HAD to give you the big red x.
I strongly disagree with your first sentence.
You start Brady even if he IS dead, period.

Thought there was a three day waiting period before activating a QB god from death??

No. The QB Son of God can be resurrected after a 24hr waiting period so the injury report can be updated.

Friday: Brady, Dead
Saturday: Brady, Limited
Sunday: Brady, Active

This is no different that Roy Batty shoving a nail through his hand in the original blade runner. All those moments will be lost in time.....like tears in the rain.

That scene is one of my favorites of all time. The soliloquy by Hauer/Batty was improvised and delivered beautifully, showing that the machine had become more human than those who would destroy him.

Just have Alex Guerrero sprinkle some magic dust to cure it and have Tom use pliability. After all, NFL injuries are totally preventable, right Tom?
