Saints vs Vikings Game Discussion

43 was probably traumatized by the flags all game. He passed out, after the ball was caught. It was over once Diggs caught it. They only needed a FG to win, and likely would've made it from that spot, if he were tackled after the catch.

It sucks, but it's reality.
If he had been tackled in-bounds, game over. 12 seconds at the snap, maybe 8 when he caught it. The Vikings would have had to run 30 yards, be set for 1 second, snap, and spike it. No way they would have got it all done.

He’s acting like he made a great play
He acted like a grandstander when he owes more to a bonehead play by his opponent than his own "heroics." He was out there standing on a bench and posing for crap sakes. Take the credit but also credit your teammates and show respect for your opponent, you c*cky twit.

You guys need to do some reminiscing and look back on your lives and figure out the exact moment you all became Grandpas.
While we do that, will you try to grow the eff up?

I still can't believe that happened. In general situational football has been atrocious this entire playoffs. No wonder the Pats have run over the league for 18 years.

Well it was one of the greatest finishes to an NFL playoff game ever...I'll let him take fifteen minutes to bask in it.

Do you people have to hate everything non Patriots or can you make an exception once in a while?
I mean the game was done, everyone was off the field, it's been 5-10 minutes since the play, and he's still taking a bow lol. It's obnoxious. I don't have to make an exception for anything.

If it comes to it I feel that the Pats beat the Vikings in the Super Bowl.

Yeah, he just made a huge play to send them from
lost cause to the NFCCG and he’s answering the questions put to him.

What a whore

Media slut

Glory hogging *****

He should have just shut up.
You know there is a middle ground right? Like, it's ok to bask in it. One of the greatest postseason plays of all time.

But it's been like 3 days since he scored the touchdown and he's still on the field posing for cameras.

Spare me the lecture.

There is a term called,'Acting like you've been there.'

Great TD but a bit over the top.

The only thing I can think of was that the DB was worried about getting there too early and committing DPI. A valid thing to worry about. However, in that situation if you are worried about that you pull up, let the guy catch it in front of you, and then immediately tackle him.

Eerie pre draft analysis about Marcus Williams.

Walmart announced they are restocking their underwear shelves in New Orleans. Lots of people need new underwear after this game.
'
That's where #43 will be working next week.
"wanted in isle 4, men's undergarments"

So true!! Just compare that Saints rookie safety in that situation today with Malcolm Butler in the last minute of the Super Bowl. Malcolm not only made the play but he talked about how he recognized the formation from the coaching they'd received.
The Patriots play chess when those all around them play checkers. The quality of this organization from top to bottom is something to be appreciated so much. They are such a cut above.

Late to the discussion, but I still can’t believe what I saw. I saw it in the Jaguars game too, not as crazy, but 28-7 lead, gave up a late TD to the Steelers by letting a guy get past you for a TD at the end of the half. Both instances I was scratching my head thinking, why isn’t someone back deeper than where they were.

The Minnesota play is inexcusable, just inexcusable. Shocking, disheartening. If I were a Saint’s fan, I’d be in shock for 2 weeks (like I was after the Pats lost SB 42). How do you lose that game ? A whole season thrown away. That’s how I’d feel if I were a Saint’s fan. Great game, happy for Minnesota, but was rooting for Brees and the Saints.

Tom will carve them up like a turkey like Brees did, but he won't have to worry about his D blowing it in 30 sec, and win, NE is a great team
I'm bummed for you.

I was 100% pulling for them, for you.
You are the only NO fan , I think I "know".

I like NO because of Brees's values (and skills, obviously), and just all of the league BS they went thru.
I really wanted to see a NO vs Pats SB.

Sorry man

I'm guessing he was told not to let the guy go out of bounds if he caught the ball. It looked like he was trying to cut off his path out of bounds, but ended up completely whiffing.

And tackle him IN BOUNDS, the game is over. One of the dumbest defensive plays in NFL history.
