The Official Laugh at the Steelers Thread

Yep. The irony is that Roethlisberger had a great game. On the other hand I get what they are saying regarding Roethlisberger’s desire and commitment to the game. He can sling it but he’s Jared Lorenzan in waiting, and he’s talked about being done a couple of times, which generally indicates they are checking out.

There was a graphic put up early in the game that said something like that the Steelers are 0-5 in the playoffs when he throws for 270 or more, and 0-6 when he throws 34 times or more. I don't remember it exactly but it was something like that. Now it's 0-6 and 0-7.

In other words, unlike the Pats and Brady, the Steelers simply don't win playoff games when Ben has to throw.

Ever since Joe ****ing Flacco beat us twice I don't really buy the "****ty QB isn't beating Belichick" narrative. If the surrounding team is good enough--and Jacksonville's defense and ground game is the real deal--it can happen. Fournette did look pretty bad in the second half after his injury though, which puts their offense in pretty dire straits against a competent D.

Absolutely.

The Blake Bortles led Jaguars just beat the Steelers. Peyton "I've got a QB rating of 67.9" Manning won the Super Bowl just two years ago. Rex Grossman got to the Super Bowl. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl. Etc...

Anyone who hasn't figured out that a QB who's led his team to the playoffs can win in the playoffs, if things break right, has no business posting about football.

Bortles game today was on point with any game Eli had in the 2007 postseason, statistically. He had a better season than Eli had in 2007. But let me ask you these questions, because I’m not sure how many Jags games you have watched this season and would like to gauge your knowledge of them...

1. They can rush the passer with just their front four: yes or no?

2. Their linebackers are smaller but can cover: yes or no?

3. They have two All-Pro outside corners: yes or no?

Im gunna do a real thread on Pats/Jags in a few but their legit imo. I expect a Pats win but this Jags team is a really good team with a bad QB. That said they try to put him spots he'll succeed in and they've been successful more than not.

Their in the afccg & are loaded with talent. Everyone should take them serious.

yes, yes, yes

For the record, I think the Pats win by at least 10. But to say they’re a worse match-up than Pittsburgh tells me you haven’t watched their games outside of the last two. There’s no way on God’s green Earth that’s true. They can rush Brady with four and drop the rest and have two All-Pro outside corners.

Actually, I've watched quite a few, and over the last month took a lot of **** here for suggesting that they're a real threat and aren't getting anywhere near enough credit here.

But I think they'll struggle to put up 14 on us if Fournette is anywhere near as banged up as he looked in the 2nd half after his injury. Going against that defense will be a tall order, but I expect the offense to be facing a lot of short fields and getting to 20 should win us the game. If you keep Bortles in the pocket and force him to work through his progressions he will absolutely **** up.

Laugh at the Squealers thread? Nah...Shyt on the Me-lers is a better choice.

Hi Antonio Brown!!! Hey buddy, you can have my seat next week in Foxboro seeing as how you made that guarantee and all...I'll talk to my buddy Tunes but I think I can get him to hand it to you...$50,000 sounds about right. Bring your terrible towel and big finger to point to the sky and everything. You're the greatest in history just like you told us and we're only too happy to accomodate you.

I keep expecting one of the people who are actually doing the video to get murdered or something.

I like the part where he demands his HOF QB retire because he only dropped 42 points on one of the best defenses in the league. And apparently that means he's 'not a winner'.

Fans that stupid don't deserve to root for good teams.
To be fair, he also gave them 14.

Man, they scored 42 points on a (reputable) tough defense. And lost by a score. It was a freak game. The fans at the game were wholesale awful with their booing. I know they were upset, but jeez.

If the Jags put up 45 on the Pats, we aint winning either. I don't think they will. but c'mon.

This is the same lunatic from a month ago. I bet he gets arrested for murder before next season.
I love this guy, he should get his own show, so entertaining. Just really funny.

Post your best here. My personal favorite so far...

That’s a death threat, chief.

Thanks for this compilation. I was at the aquarium all day with my kids and, though, I took a few peaks on the Yahoo live stream, I was itching like a junkie to see the Steelers boards. Schadenfreude is the one “pompous” word I’ll gladly use, simply because it’s meaning is so awesome and leads to so much joy.
