Considering this hatchet job story is trying to imply that Brady is a dlck who is imploding the franchise and McDaniel is interviewing for other jobs I think the comment is important and shouldn’t be thrown away as insincere. He could have answered many other ways.

Being as I've been agreeing with this premise for years (especially as he's turned jobs down and remained here) and the fact I posted that late last night before this morning's fiasco hit, my post has zero to do with today's story. Otherwise, I'm simply stating the obvious: No coordinator/assistant would ever publicly talk about wanting to be the future coach of their team and would most certainly downplay/deny it if asked.

There are legitimate reasons to use unnamed sources. I don't think any of these people are worth defending as people, and speculating on who they are or what they do is useless. Brady has absolutely changed over time. Everyone does. The difference is, most people are almost completely unaware of how and why they change. Brady actively monitors and drives his change. In our culture, that is extremely strange, and I totally understand why you are so threatened by it. Don't worry, most "normal" people are feel threatened by such things.
