First I'm glad BB gave him a chance to play. Considering what little time JH had to get ready, I'd say by judging by his performance he definitely will be an impact in POs.

This play raises some questions for me. How was he able to play this so perfectly? From the defensive call or just from experience? Why have we failed to stop this type of plays consistently this season? I remember our LBs always being too out of position to take plays like this out. This was so perfect. I can imagine what BB would have done with him in his prime.

I am not saying he had a lights out game. Hell he just started learning the playbook a few days ago.

What I did see was him dropping in coverage making a third down tackle. Setting the edge on plays that did not show up in stats. 2 sacks with a strip. I do not care if it was garbage time. The Jets were still playing and trying to score. That just shows me when he can just pin his ears back he can still get pressure.

What I do know is we did not have this guy a week ago. And he is a lot better than any other OLB that we could field in his place at this time. He may not be the answer to all our LB problems. But he makes me feel more secure heading into the playoffs with a guy who has the pedigree to get them off the field on third down. And He is motivated.

JH just arrived. So based on him still learning the D playbook? He gets an A+ for this game save a breaking down of his 20+ snaps to determine the big picture performance. But, as well, let's not get ahead ourselves. This is one game against maybe the most impotent O in the NFL (though to be fair to the Jets, their O probably could beat the Browns O). JH now gets 2 weeks to practice and then will get snaps against upper tier competition. Let's see what happens. It does look promising but let's see what happens.

So what is the biggest Patriot LB news from the Jets game??? IMHO it clearly is that KVN played. Correct me if I'm wrong but KVN is an actual 3 down player who can perform in all 3 areas(run stop, drop into coverage, blitz) satisfactory. Getting that on the field in the playoffs is huge! and changes the complexion of the D and how the D packages can now be arranged.

mostly a has-been.......but still a good pickup.......can help us

I was impressed by how quickly he picked up the calls.

Note how Roberts prevented a taunting flag.

How is life in Ravens's land? That was a brutal lose. Better play next year.

He really thinks this is “God’s plan”? Rooting for the Pats player (and to explode heads in Pittsburgh) but he’s seriously vapid if he thinks this is “God’s plan”.

Whenever we used to play Pitt, always felt like Randy in Christmas Story hiding under the sink thinking about how Harrison is going to kill "Tommy". Harrison is one of those bigger than life characters in the NFL, when he was with the Marvin Lewis crew in "Hard Knocks" thought that was interesting as well, certainly not a "warm and fuzzy" kind of guy.

Then last year Goodell tagged him as a "dirty player" and this year he felt marginalized by the Steeler organization.. not sure I would want to really "piss" off Harrison..

Now he is a Patriot, he has something to prove and obviously has something in the tank.. I like the move and thought yesterday he played much better than expected.. he can be a nice complimentary player for this team in the playoffs.

28 snaps against the Jets. 2 sacks, 1 key solo tackle in space to force a punt. He was in position most of the time for a guy who showed up in a short week, That's great production. Two weeks of study with the coaches and teammates to learn the alignments and lingo and he'll be huge. Harris and Van Noy will be fine for the divisional round plus a rejuvenated Harrison will be great.
