Central Thread For Mourning/Canonizing Jimmy Garoppolo

The thing that'll make me laugh and laugh and laugh is if SF franchises JG for 2018, Brady wins the 2018 SB and then retires, JG and SF are unable to come to terms and he becomes a UFA and signs with NE, and has success with NE.
My goodness, the only thing missing there is us restoring our real logo and uni's next year

Wow. On this post I hit the Patsfans Pick 6.

Winner, useful, like, dislike, disagree and an agree.

@Ian hitting the "full house" must be pretty rare? Any chance you have time to send a DB query to see how many posts hit that?

Reactions: Ian
From the sounds of it, he didn't want to be a back-up anymore and the cost of franchising him would have handicapped the team. It was a bit of a sticky wicket if you catch my drift.
Aye, and the bit about a tiff between Sir William and Sir Thomas is rubbish

I dont think your thought process is valid regardless. Probably on anything. But let me ask you this. You are now saying that its ok for JG to BRAG about his rings because he did not "sit the whole time"

Those 6-8 Quarters (or whatever it was) he played of regular season in 14-16 give him BRAGGING RIGHTS to wave around in other teams faces because the Pats (Brady) won the SB those years.

Wow
my you are one rude son of a *****. Saying someones thoughts are not valid! First time iv been on this board and you are the second person who gives pats fans a bad name. Learn some manners instead of hiding behind a keyboard BIG MAN

If Bob Kraft ever sobers up, he’ll realize that forcing BB to trade Jimmy JQ because he felt Brady was his fifth son, was a bigger mistake than running Parcells out of town to let Bobby Greer shop for the groceries.

It’s going to be painful to watch the 49rs win multiple Superbowls, knowing that they could have been ours.

Thank you for enlightening me on the game I have followed for decades. That aside, and despite your insults, I am going to remain with my original opinion on the purpose of your sudden appearance.

It is counter productive to actually engage or feed trolls, other than the purpose of exposing them. So, in order to not give you the negative responses that you are attempting to elicit, this will be my final post on the matter. I will conclude with two pertinent points.
1. If I am incorrect in my assumption of you, which will be made clear over time, I will be most forthcoming in my apology (although I sincerely doubt it will be required)
2. I find it most unusual that in response to my post that you make no reference to my suspicion that you are a Yinzer.
In your defense, it was a tough loss.
1) I have no idea what a Yinzer is
2) how could a simple question about Jimmy be taken as trolling?? you must be over sensitive or insecure to view every interaction and wanting a foolish response.
3) You may have watched american football all your life but having only recently gotten into it I asked a very reasonable question.
4) My sudden appearance? Given that you have to register with this site and wait a few days for judgment, you would really really be strange to go through all that just to ask a question about a former back up QB.
The only reason i can think for your train of thought is that you feel very protective of this board which is fair enough.

Actually, I diddnt say his "thoughts" are not valid (of course they are) I said his thought PROCESS is not valid. You understand the difference? Maybe you are stupid and you dont. I really dont have the time to debate this with someone who is stupid and cant comprehend English.

Also, he did not have an issue with the comment so I dont see why you do....other than just showing that it is YOU that have a big mouth behind a keyboard (on top of being stupid).

Let's see. Anything else. Ummmm shut up?

small man

If Bob Kraft ever sobers up,
.

Are you ever going to sober up? You post more crybaby ****y **** on here than anyone. The fact that you posted this below tells us how much testosterone is flowing though your body.

This basically means the era of the great Patriots teams is coming to a close. A truly sad day in New England. When JG is winning superbowls in SF, everyone will wish they traded Brady to San Fran instead. Just wait.

Please go find another team to root for. You are an embarrassment.

I consider those words prophetic & it’s just a matter of time until that is the consensus view. No amount of shouting down an opinion that you don’t like is going to change that.

Great, so someday when TB is gone and JG "may" be still winning games you and your legion of Garopollites can say - "Hey! see I was right, they never should have done that"

That's great. Good for you. Good to see you have confidence in Brady and BB who have done so much for this franchise, region and fan base.

Where does this lack of loyalty come from? Is this something you have experienced? Have you been hurt by someone and dont believe in loyalty?

You are quite correct. I did mis read the post. My apologies. Just got quite an agressive vibe on this site but thats no excuse. Very sorry.

Give the guy a break he doesn't understand the game like we do, some of us have following football for 40+ years plus we grew up with it. I can understand some concepts that are obvious to us that wouldn't be to someone new.

I appreciate that bud, i used to watch the bears in the 80s. Having got divorced a couple of years ago i have much more time to enjoy sports. I can assure you im not a "yazzer" or whatever. Leeds United and New England.

Happy Christmas by the way

its the financial aspect that is new to me. Having a salary cap is actually a good idea, it would stop Real Madrid or Manchester United running the game. Things like if you are on IR does your cost still apply to the sal cap. and if you are traded, can you refuse? do you keep the same contract at your new team. This does not happen in soccer

TB12 has given this organization much to celebrate in the 21st Century. TB12 and BB have made the Patriots the team of the decade of the 00s and of the '10s. Enjoy these last few years TB has left because we will never see another player dominate the league as much as he has. Jimmy G may win a few SBs or none at all and if he does good for him but nobody will ever replace what TB and BB have done for this team and the league.

LOL, I'll have to look into that

I'm delighted that Garoppolo is off to such a strong beginning as a Starter in his own right and I admit that I am among those who are concerned that the Pats might one day regret letting him get away...but, for me, the bottom line is "You ain't done a thing 'til you've won that Bling."

Very little is guaranteed salary in football. Say we just acquired Bennett who signed a 3 year deal with Green bay. We can keep him on his current deal for two more years or we can say good bye and he's free to negotiate with other teams for a new deal or he could sign a new deal with us if both parties want.

Now that there's 3 games of video on him these next 2 games will be a greater challenge so we'll see how he ends the season.
