This can be a brush off game, or this could be another 2015. Big pivotal game next week.

Holy Hell is getting the #1 seed important. I have a hard time seeing us beating Jacksonville if we don't up the protection.

Scary part is, if we lose to Pitt and Jacksonville wins out, we won’t be getting a bye.

Not good.
Better not lose to PIT then. Still in their hands, is the good thing. Not a good display tonite. Gotta win the games you should win, and this was one of them. Disappointing.

I thought the play that was emblematic of the night was the first down call at the 6-inch line on the final drive. Crappy call (they should have tried a run with Develin and Burkhead), crappy execution, and cost 4 points.

Then again, perhaps that ridiculous onsides kick was emblematic of the night.

Missing Gronk in Miami, this doesn't surprise me. It reminded me a bit of the Super Bowl, or what the Super Bowl would have been had everything not gone the Patriots way after the midway point of the 3rd quarter.

In any case, so long as they win next week, this game won't matter at all. All this game did was protect against another loss later on, but this Steelers game is pivotal.

Really, the most concerning thing is Brady. He was woefully inaccurate on anything over 5 yards (his second interception was a touchdown if he hit Cooks in stride) and was patting the ball in a way that hasn't been seen around here since the Bledsoe era. With him barely practicing, I'm worried that Achilles injury is worse than thought.

Maybe the worst performance by the offense I have seen since those two late 2015 games. If there was any grade below F that would be it. The pony formations didnt work at all, Cooks showed again that he is a nice, high-end complimentary piece but not someone that is a gamebreaker and then there was not much left. They really need Gronk on the field to create space for others it seems.

The defense played a C- game and essentially gave up 8-11 points on two plays: the predictable Elandon Roberts coverage play and the missed tackle by Richards. Apart from that the Dolphins didnt give them any chance at turnovers.

ST teams played down to the level of the rest of the team. I am not sure what the hell the idea behind that onside kick was but Joe Judge & co have done so many great things this year that I will just give him the benefit of the doubt on it. Hope Chung is ok..

Fortunately todays game doesnt matter in the big scheme.

God Luck with that. He’s in serious decline and walks like a 75 year old robot

Pitt has no speed at LB with Shazier out. That should be our main focus to exploit. Deep seams to gronk, screens, and outside runs.

I hope Gronk looks at this game and realizes alot of the offensive struggles are on him being out for something he couldve avoided.
Pathetic display, need EVERYONE back healthy next week or else it's curtains for home field.."gotta coach better, gotta play better"...ywah, we get it bill... Tell us why ur team got curb stomped by Jay cutler

well, I can pin the loss on a couple things.

1. Gronk being out: no excuse, but he changes the dymanic of the offense. even when he isnt involved his blocking is massive. and he draws 2 defenders every play.

2. many of our key defenders being out. Does flowers/van noy make some of those tackles that are missed? it baffles me that harris was a healthy scratch.

@yukon cornelius "
did you see the front 7 they trotted out? "

I saw Gilmore getting shredded on crossing routes and Butler getting beat by a guy who I can use as a barstool idk what that has to do with the front 7

Scary part is, if we lose to Pitt and Jacksonville wins out, we won’t be getting a bye.

Not good.
And we'd likely play.... Baltimore?

Oh boy oh boy it'd be 2009 all over again.

Tommy looked like ****

I’m not booking my trip go Sota
I love Tom, but can he please stop hanging his head in defeat??

I understand his emotions, but do I have to hear the "Brady whining, crying" BS all week.?

It was a bad game. By everyone.

Suck it up, kick *** next week. That's all you can do

I can honestly say this was the worst offensive performance I've seen from the Pats in the past 5 years or so. There have been lower-scoring games, but we've never been that bad on third down.
First time since the wonder years of 1991 that they failed to convert a third down.

It's funny, we played way down to competition tonight, and we've been ragging at the Steelers for doing that for weeks.

There is a difference between a pattern (i.e. multiple weeks) with all your piece on the field and one game with many key players missing. Again, context is king.

Not one of our pitchers could throw a strike... Er eh oops... Wrong team.
