Broncos Name Osweiller as Starter

I would be shocked if the Broncos manage to lose by less than 10 points. Shocked.
But they will be a tough game for us because they will suddenly realize it’s important to try and win games :rolleyes:

I have never understood this thinking. A team is a tougher opponent because they lost 4 straight. I thought losing a lot of games is evidence you suck.
And why are the eagles going to smack them around? Arent they desperate after losing 3 straight?

You are wrong. Past statistical data provided the following formula that actually does show a team who has lost at least 3 consecutive games becomes proportionally "tougher" to defeat:
Z=Toughness
P=Individual Loss Score Differential
x=Total Score Differential
a=Defensive Ranking(weighted)
b=Offensive Ranking(weighted)

P(1) => P(2) => P(3) => x/a^2 - b^2 = Z

Applying the formula to all applicable teams -- and if rounding off to the nearest hundredth -- there is a 100% certainty that Cleveland cannot be defeated in its next game.

This f&cking thread, especially after today...

Sorry but I don't care it's in Denver, next week should be at least a 21 point win. That team has checked out.

Now again, I agree with you based on what we know now. Brock is probably just bad. Occam's razor. But we are about to get a few more Brock data points. If he does decently well, then we should consider these other reasons that Brock failed. To me, Brock's Houston fiasco might speak to the transition from non-EP to EP style offensives

Occam's razor wins! Brock is just bad.

Or should I say, Occam's claw?

Brock Osweiller is a such a good fit scheme wise for the Broncos. Cant bring in just any QB, need one that fits with your system.
Well im sure that the Broncos would bring in any player if it could help their team. There just must not be any better Qb's out there than Brock Osweiller, the Texans did just scoop up Matt Mcgloin and TJ Yates. I wonder if there is anyone else out there

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with you that it’s an example of them having their backs to the wall and failing, but past season results from 2016 have zero bearing on the current situation.

I haven’t seen anyone really suggesting that they’ll necessarily lose, only that they’re expecting a tough matchup. It certainly doesn’t make anyone a “troll,” which I believe is someone who posts nonsensical ******** only to get a rise out of others.

Edit: nevermind. Saw some of the other comments in different threads. I can see why you’d throw that out there.

Because he's an idiot. Apparently, so are you. You can both **** off.

I believe they will start Siemian.

After that horrible performance yesterday, I feel much better about a win, no matter who their QB is.

I guess it's Denver's best strategy.
Keep the Pats guessing who will start.

Other than that, this should be a winnable game.
I do hate coming off byes tho.

I keep thinking about the bye and how flat they have been in recent years after a week off. In another note, we call Osweiler, a**oiler at our house so I can't say his name without laughing. Yes, I'm a juvenile.

You don’t have to be so harsh or take anything personally, dude. My comments weren’t meant to get a rise out of you. Calm down and relax.

Little off-topic but I have a question.

Yesterday afternoon I began watching the Den/Phi game at home here in Worcester. Den was marching down the field when I left and I believe they settled for their 3rd FG, giving them 9 points. So now I'm in a nearby loud bar (being the happy husband) and I look to the tv and CBS now has the Ind/Hou feed with like 9 min to go in the 4th quarter. Granted the time change confused me, but what happened to the Den/Phi game feed? Did something happen or was the weed that good?

The game was out of reach at that point so when that happens, another game will take it's place unless you are watching it on Sunday Ticket.

Thanks for clearing that up. I couldn't figure out what happened as my focus was on a pool table. Then the friggen time change thing really screwed me up. The nearest clock hadn't been changed back, there was still near ten minutes of football clock from the early games, yada...

But I can't recall ever seeing a game being cut-off because it was out of reach. Being a fan of either team I would have been rather upset....
