Question for the researchers here: what's the latest in the calendar year where the two teams had the same record?

I'm 6'2" also

Loving the Celtics this season. Kyrie has done a great job and is playing his ass off on both sides of the floor. His defense, one of the biggest knocks on him has been decent to good which is a major improvement. Leading the league in steals.

Horford plays really well with Kyrie, I'd say better than with IT. Jaylen Brown is legit and you've got a lot of solid guys coming off the bench or currently in the starting line up: Baynes, Tatum, Rozier, Smart even Theis had a great game tonight.

Smart and Rozier is one of the best second unit back courts you could ask for. Both good defenders, Rozier is getting better at draining his shots.

This team is among the best in the East and should be able to compete for the ECF.

The Cavs are vulnerable. Their roster largely sucks. Lebron may be able to carry them a good ways, perhaps back to the ECF but damn they can't play defense. They need to get that fixed because IT won't be any help with that.

I can't imagine this team with a healthy Hayward. I know Popovich saw it, you could tell by his comments - this Cs team is about balance in both offense and defense, team based approach, and fundamentals (mirroring the Spurs).

The issue is when the playoffs come around will Irving garner the same respect as Lebron, Curry, et al? Once the playoffs roll around all that stuff that makes a great team is thrown out the window for isolation, star fueled basketball including how the game is called by the refs.

This is one of those stat questions that probably has a really narrow answer. Because of how the schedules work, there's probably only a couple weeks worth of dates in which the two teams would even have played the same number of games.

Love watching the C's.

Great effort on D from the superstars to the young kids.

And we are really deep. The bench is even better than last year's even with Gordon's injury.

Hey, I used to be 6-0. :D

Now I'm 5-11... o_O

...WTF?!?!

The sHeat are 3-4. Even better, the Cavs are 3-5. Unfortunately only one of those two teams will continue to suck.

I think rochrist nailed it, in all likelihood, right out of the gate.

Probably 2007. Nov 16th they were both 8-0.

Oh I'm sure he did. My point was that the stat isn't all that interesting considering the most impressive it could be is maybe two weeks later than the least impressive it could be.

One thing is abundantly clear. Even though he has talent to work with, Brad Stevens is a goddamn good coach.

Brown is coming along nicely

Hes spotting Tatum very well

Getting excellent contributions from the bench.

Outstanding team D

Getting Kyrie to play D is like getting BB to be transparent during a press conference.

If Haywood can give them just a little bit in the spring they have a very good chance of going to the Finals.

Amazing job.

Hayward is done for the season, he announced it himself.

I agree with your post except the part about Kyrie and defense. He seems to be a very coachable player when said coach is competent. He is hustling, tipping balls and playing totally unselfish basketball on the offensive side.

He is getting the youngsters involved and in turn they are gaining confidence and accelerating their progression. It felt that way last night when he passed up a wide open three to dish it to Jaylen for the impressive dunk. Questionable to pass up the gimme three but hard to argue with the result.

I don't think he was ever averse to playing this way. He just needed a good coach with a solid scheme. He got a great one with a talented young roster. The results are already showing.

The Celtics have been a joy to watch this year. I expect them to be dominating the East and contending with GS as early as next season.

Well, geez, I'm just trying to get some conversation going at the bar here.

This Celtics team is super fun to watch. Losing Hayward 5 minutes into the season was a gut punch, but their combination of youth, athleticism, discipline and chemistry is about as entertaining and easy to root for as it gets.

Hopefully they'll add another talented player if the Lakers pick conveys.
