Patriots will win Sunday

I remember logging in to this board during the playoff game against the Texans last year. Dion Lewis returned a kick-off for a touchdown. People were quoting me.

Are they going to beat the Chargers the following week, too? Going into the bye at 6-2 would be great, all things considered.

Get some injured players back after the bye week, continue making progress on defense, maybe get the running game going a bit, etc.

I'm guessing 5-3, either way. 6-2 down the stretch. 11-5 season record.

The team hasn't even face their toughest stretch yet. It will be after the bye. Gotta find a way and win Sunday night. Gotta take advantage of your home games.

I believe they could pull off 6-2 after the bye due to improved player health and team chemistry. I'm hesitant to think they will go into the bye at 6-2, though. If they do, we should all be extremely grateful, as it's been a challenging first half of the season.

I will be the first to say this. The Patriots are going to beat Atlanta. Why? Because that is what they do. They have played better vs good teams than any team in the NFL has for a long time. They rise to challenges, and a team that was the #1 offense last year, even if its not a shadow of that this year, and a team that went to the SB last year is a challenge. The Patriots exploit opponents weaknesses and a team that lost back to back home games to the lowly Bills and Dolphins has weaknesses.
And Tom Brady.

MUCH better approach than my suggestion we forfeit the game and spend another week icing up!

Since week 8 is the chargers a win Sunday should lead to 6-2. I expect improvement in the second half and the schedule is pretty easy.

I believe we can and we will win. We are just as talented as them. No reason not to be optimistic. It won't be easy though.

In this case not really.

Even in this case. If my son was 35 lbs 12 oz I would tell everyone from Atlanta that he was 34 lbs 28 oz. It's the same thing.

We'll see how easy going on the road for 5/6 games is. I'm sticking with 6-2 due to the same reasoning that you provided: expected improvement and progression of team chemistry.

They will be favored in all 8

I have a feeling that this is going to be one of those "prove all of the doubters wrong" games. Or maybe prove them all right. Or maybe something kind of in-between and we do OK but not so great and then the game ends and there is a certain result.

That's my prediction.

Maybe it's just me but I don't understand why road games get harder because of the order you play them in.
We've won 11 in a row on the road and are 21-6 the last 4 years.
I don't think better 3-2 in those 5 games is crazy.

It's going to be just a little bit harder for the Falcons to win than us. Because we're at home. That being said, both teams have some pretty big issues!

I dunno though. I just can't ever bet against the Patriots. In reality, it's going to be a tight contest. In my head? It's 6-2 already.

Ahhwhatever Sunday night needs to hurry up!

Pats are going to get curb stomped without Gilmore/Rowe.

Note: I thought the same for Oakland last night. Hoping to work similar magic Sun eve.

Regards,
Chris

Mile high, and "Mile High and a half" in back to back weeks. Finishing the trip at Pittsburgh coming off a MNF game @Miami. There's some challenges in there.

Also, the amount of travel in those games (destination to Foxborough back to destination) obviously goes a long way towards answering your question as to why it's harder to play away games in consecutive weeks. That won't be the case on the Denver/Mexico City trip, but all of the others.
