Exit Dion Lewis?

Would be shocked if Belichick doesn't turn at least one of his players into a sacrificial lamb

Putting my money on Branch (sadly). Who else is on the list?

Allen possibly? Haven't seen lasts night game yet so hopefully I will be able to find extended highlights soon

I'd hate to trade him only to NEED him later if injury issues persist.

That is exactly what I said about Amendola (as Edelman insurance) and think about how more screwed the Pats would be now if they had dealt him.

Lewis is a KO returner, 3rd down back. He is not going anywhere.

If you could name two things Brady has always had, it's. A great slot receiver and a great 3rd down back.

Lewis is better than White but Brady and BB have all but given that role to White so w/e trade Lewis I don’t care.

The wind can bring White Down. Lewis not only makes guys miss, he’s breakng rallies. Why he’s behind White on the DC blows my mind but that’s B.B. for ya. Always playing chess blah blah

You should be self aware enough to realize your evaluation skills on James white blow.

He was unreal good in the SB last year.
He was overall very good last year.
This year I feel he went back to what he was before that.. which was a player who doesn’t make you miss, and can’t break a shoelace tackle. Sorry, just IMO Lewis can do what White does and more

See my previous comment.

Lewis is an excellent player but very different from white. Your views of white are incorrect.

If Lewis was better than White at this point, he'd have that role.

When Edelman went down, I was kind of hoping Lewis might get some looks where Edelman had played.

Dion Lewis has had 90 yards, and a touchdown over the past two week on just 14 touches. When the Patriots give Lewis the football, good things tend to happen

Plus, by his own admission, he feels he's regained his old quick form from 2015, 2 years after knee surgery!

Patriots running back Dion Lewis looked like his old self - The Boston Globe

According to Lewis, he’s the healthiest he has been in his career. He gained six pounds in the offseason and is playing at 192 pounds. Lewis also relaxed his workout regiment and incorporated more rest.

Having the full circuit of organized team activities, training camp, and the preseason has also helped Lewis catch up to game speed. He missed all of that in 2016 as he rehabilitated his injury.

Lewis’s expectations are as high as they’ve ever been, which is why he was proud of his effort against the Buccaneers. He wasn’t surprised, though. Lewis had been pining to run like the player he knew he could be.

“Last year I was hoping I could make them miss,”
Lewis said. “Now I know I’m going to make them miss and that’s the biggest difference.”

Bill, Josh.... FEED THE BEAST!!!!!! [/Boston sports fan accent]

Even though Lewis is our best rb and white our best receiving rb I have no problem with their usage if it means we have them during the playoffs. Like we discussed the first time Lewis got hurt, if he only lasts half a season I'd rather the second half, especially now that we have other capable runners.

Lewis is the best back on this team. Again, like I said, he’s better than White. in the words of Felger “SORREY!”

Going into the archives to find a thread to tell everyone you won the argument. Sad.

I’m just happy with have 3 quality backs at this point in the season. Just a few years back we had to pull an over the hill Steven Jackson off the couch.
