Unfortunately, the only time I heard or saw the name Duane Allen tonight is when he got run over and Brady got crushed and fumbled. I suppose that was Brady's fault too? As I said somewhere above, Brady didn't even bother to look for him tonight, although he didn't have much time to look for anyone. Good game by Amendola (again), Ghost and the D until TB's scoring drive in the 4th. Glad we got a win.

I thought he sucked in Indy, i posted he sucked the day we traded for him that i hated the trade and didn't think he could play or that he'd suddenly get it in New England, i've always thought he was soft with bad hands and that's why Luck preferred Fleener then Doyle.

I want him to prove me wrong but it's looking unlikely, this appears to just be a bad football player.

He might be good blocking (and he didnt have a great game yesterday, so maybe even that is an overrating) but he is awful receiving.

He was against 2 reserves LB and yet he wasnt even targeted. And he was #1 TE, too..

It's hard for me to classify him as anything but a bust

Thats the thing. I haven't watched the game a second time yet but my impression is he blocked well in the running game.

Pass blocking no idea.

What is clear is the team/Brady does not have any confidence in him catching the football

I found it interesting that last night we ran a "No TE Offense" passing game. Quite the 180 from all the expectations we've had for years here.

If Gronk goes down again for the season, I wouldn't count on a SB appearance this season. Bennett was just good enough to help get us there through his injuries. Dwayne Allen isn't even giving us Tim Wright production, which is what I was saying would be adequate for him. I took a beating for talking about how bad he was in mandatory OTA's. Yes, it was early . . . but if he couldn't catch with zero pads and no contact, it just didn't bode well. LOL
