I disagree about Butler. He was mediocre at best and got beat several times against a JAG and a gimpy receiver. Van Noy had a decent game but everyone else was pretty subpar.
Butler was beat once and the coverage was not bad on the touchdown. Do you have other instances? Gilmore was absolute trash compared to him.

The sad thing is I wanted to see better qb play across the league and I wanted to see more competitive divisions, but not at our expense lol. We are like the muses for the Wilson's, Cam's, and any other new budding stars.

I am already over this loss. It is not like I expected an undefeated season after Edelman went down. I am more concerned about the Bills. They beat Denver and Atlanta. At the moment, I'm not sure we could beat Denver or Atlanta.

Everyone will be on the cam bandwagon after facing our defense.

I didn't say Cam was good, I said our defense was bad at containing him. Not sure where you bring up the Cam bandwagon from.

Remember few weeks back when I was put on blast for saying I rather see the Bills losing over Denver? We really need to make sure we win our division. The Bills are much tougher this year.

Well, Jameis Winston, Mike Evans, and DeSean Jackson are on tap in the next several days, so I highly doubt that the issue against mobile QBs and physical receivers (or any receivers) will suddenly disappear any time soon.

They'll need to utilize that mini-bye to try and make some improvements, but this game on Thursday is no gimme, by any stretch.

Tampa just beat the Giants on a last second FG.

Great quote from Gilmore after the game...
Gilmore: I’m a corner. It’s my sixth year. Got a short-term memory. So, I can handle it.

Obviously, he has a short-term memory - he can't remember that he got called for illegal use of the hands, hands to the face earlier in the game.

All he has to remember is Friday is pay day.

Checks get cut at 4:00 pm.

Talk about what you please. I highly doubt many people read your posts anyway.

I am averaging just about 2 likes per post. So I guess some people are reading them. Not exactly sure why you were trying to get at with that post.

What I don't care for are prognostications that the season is over and Brady sucks suddenly.

I also find those type of negative emotional overreactions annoying. I also find it annoying when people discourage critical thinking in favor of group think. I found your "The best of the game thread" was doing a bit of that.

Post your analysis. I'll be happy to debate you on it if I disagree with anything.

Recently, I have been mostly posting my analysis in the re-watch threads, as I feel that watching game film is central to diagnosing problems and appreciating successes. If you want to debate or disagree with me, find me over there.

Since you're relatively new, I'll inform you that I've been one of the most critical people on this board of this team in the past.

You are correct that I have not always been that active in this forum. I have been a long time lurker however, and I am quite aware of the insightful analysis you generally provide. I was not trying to suggest you were unwilling to be negative. I was teasing your desire to criticize others when they are negative.

I don't criticize negativity, as you're probably aware if you've lurked. I criticize panic. It's been especially bad this year. Probably because the team won the Super Bowl last year. But the constant panic game to game reminds me of 2007 and post-Chiefs 2014.

Jameis ****ing Winston will have 375 and 4 tds Vs pats

I wanted to disagree with this, but this defense has been giving up 300 passing yards the last few weeks to every team we played so far.

Our defense tends to make QB's look better than they really are.
After this offseason I rather hold on to Butler over Gilmore. At least one hits hard and tries to make plays, the other one keeps making dumb mistakes over and over and over again.

Thursday is my birthday :) hopefully Tommy and the boys could give me a good birthday gift.

I would like to see more man coverage and QB pressures. What else can be done to get the Defense moving in the right direction?

Nobody's panicking. I see some issues on the defense that can get better but by how much? Gotta put more pressure on the opposing QB.

You certainly appear to be right thus far. He's sucked a fat one through four weeks. But a lot of his problems have centered on being out of position here. Hopefully he improves as he learns but he certainly hasn't earned his paychecks yet.
I think the signing was a bit odd, but he's certainly got the measurables to be considered a Butler replacement.

Bringing in an outsider for that kind of money was a bit of a head scratcher, but the way it went down was even stranger. Thus far, those who were a bit skeptical of the signing have been proven correct, although it's very early, still.

Saw 2 SB wins on mine, and they both occurred in the same stadium, no less (although I didn't see it live in action). It's a good feeling.

Everyone seemed to want Ryan gone, I think Ryan is better than Gilmore, Gilmore makes a lot of mistake she doesnt need to and so far hasn't been the big play guy he was supposed to. The front 7 as someone else said is awful.

They dont have a lot of time to fix this and I dont think they have the personnel. 11-5/10-6...wow. If you cant hold a team to 20 points your going to lose a good number of games. Glad Im not as commited to football anymore.

There needs to be a Danny Amendola appreciation thread every week on this board.

Lost in some of the glum this season is Gost is quietly having a very pre 2015 AFCCG Gost-like season thus far. He's missed one PAT and is a perfect 13-13 on FG's, including the 58-yarder that he banked in to close the half. There's been a lot made of his struggles (somewhat rightfully so/somewhat overblown) and conspiracy theories about him not being given chances to kick this season in certain situations, but his performance has stood up well this season to this point. Something needs to be said about that. We may need his leg in some close ones this season since it seems every game will be a scoring affair. And if Brady can somehow touch the ball last, then Gost must be ready.

OT: In keeping with giving props where they're due, Julius Peppers has 4.5 sacks this season at 37 years old. Kudos to that future HOFer.
