I wanted butler to get the money not gilmore. So far it looks like a bad signing but its still imo its still to early to say gilmore is a bust.
It's definitely not out of bounds to say he's been a bust thus far, though.

1. This OL struggles for most of the game until the defense gets tired. Conversely when the offense executes early they have a fast tempo. Not necessarily no huddle or hurry up just a quick pace. They need more of that.

2. Loved the screen game today.

3. They took too long to get Cooks involved.

4. Brady is getting killed every week. He's nearly at last year's sack total.

5. I think the most disheartening thing was the confusion on defense. A combination of Rowe and Gilmore seemed confused on so many plays.

6. Other than the Gronk flop I don't remember a big call against Carolina. Meanwhile the Gronk and DA PIs both of which were awful kept drives going. The Gilmore penalties were ticky tack but not egregious like those.Carolina was standing up the Pats DL time and again with no call. Two times in a row playing them the Refs have had a major impact.

7. I hope they can make a trade or two to try and get an Ayers or Van Noy type signing and catch lightning in a bottle again like they did with them. This defense doesn't seem to have what it takes.

8. DA and White are so clutch. Hightower as well although, and I know he's just coming back, was invisible for most of the game.

9. Gostkowski is a heart attack every time.

10. Scotch, Bourbon, or Rye?

On the bright side the Chiefs are the only AFC team that doesn't look fatally flawed, and I'm not convinced that they're not.

We look like garbage so far but nobody else looks a lot better.

Who cares. Those teams aren't 2-2. I haven't seen those teams give up big pass play after big pass play. This team has a lot of work to do.

10. All of the above

They still only have Alex Smith.

It's only week 4. The defense looks bad. It's hard to imagine it getting better, but it can't get worse.

The offense looks very good. The Panthers have a very good defense with probably the best defensive player in football and the Patriots imposed on them.

The rest of the division sucks. If they don't win 5/6 divisional games, something is wrong. Maybe this is a 10-6 or 11-5 team but it's hard to see them missing the playoffs.

I bet the rats would love to have us on our schedule right now.

This will catch up to them. It almost did today when Brady needed help rising to his feet.

This has to be a coaching thing that can be addressed. For the most part, the defense is just doing stupid things. The AFC east is going to be tough if Buffalo is going to play defense like that. Poor Brady has to play out of his mind against great defenses while opposing offenses get to play against what looks like a HS defense.

I never said Brady is showing signs of being "awful". I'd suggest you re-read my post. I said he could've executed better in certain situations, and I'm sure if you asked TB himself he'd say the same thing.

That doesn't absolve the defense, and I was sure to make that clear.

There’s more than Brady and McDaniels that are factors in the offensive production. They’re averaging 30/game, yet give up 32/game. Brady gets pummeled weekly, and has 10 TDs and 0 picks. Why is your beef with him? Good grief.

I will concede that the defense is NOT composed of track stars (quick cats so to speak) however the lack of communication and bone headed penalties are painful to watch.

Didn’t see the game (live in NY). But this has to be the worst defense in the Belichick era. Giving up close to 33 points a game. Unfortunately, unless they make a crazy trade, this is what we have to look forward to for the rest of the year. I knew the second they tied the game, the defense would lose the game. It amazing to me that this team went from the best scoring defense to the worst scoring defense in a year. I wonder if that’s ever happened before in NFL history. This D can’t stop anyone, literally giving up 400+ yards per game besides 32 points a game.

I guess losing Sheard, Long, and Ninkovich destroyed this defense. Not just talent wise but leadership wise and chemistry wise. Unfortunately we don’t have a defensive version of Tom Brady.

Besides the blown coverages we need more speed and better play at LB
I really thought we could be okay at LB (before Shea was IR'ed and when Harris came on board), but the lack of speed and athleticism is pretty glaring now.

Still two games down. This team should forget about seeds and just focus on stopping someone. They're surely haven't done that to start through 4 games

I think this defense is unfixable ( for this year). They might get a little better at LB when McClellan gets back, but the back end is toast! Butler is clearly their best DB and he will be gone after this year. McCourty and Gilmore are both god awful and have contracts that the Pat's can't get out from underneath.

Don't forget they resigned Harmon too! I don't see how you fix this.

The Pat's are now tied with the Jets at 2-2.

If you have a RB with good speed you can expose these LBs out of the backfield.
