Fine loser boy.

They didn't look like an 8-8 team on offense today at least. Brady wasn't the thowing bad passes. It's a week to week thing but they were still suspect defensively.
Yeah they're definitely going 8-8 and Brady is 40 and clearly falling apart. "Loser boy?" LOL. I guess that's a good cut down if you have some sort of mental disability. The Viper GTS, a car which you probably can't afford, is also for middle aged white guys going through a midlife crisis. Every week we will do this. Want to know why? Because you're a complete and utter moron.

Yup. Without their top 2 receivers from lost season. Cooks and Snead. In a vertical offense. So yeah. Chung was also exposed big time today. Not enough press man. Too may completions to receivers with 15 yard cushions.

And stupid NFL teams. Anytime Chung was on Kumara one on one in man ball needs to go his way. It didn't, thus the Saints only put up 20.

You realize that NE regularly starts slowly on defense, right? When the coaches can make the 2011 unit moderately effective by the playoffs, you simply aren't going to convince me - or anyone reasonable - to be concerned at this point.

Is Gronk okay? I liked the W, but can't be all that happy til I know how he is. We're gonna need him come January.

Also: Take this L Brady doubters. Guy is 40 and lighting up this league!

Run defense was solid, other than the last play of the game (and I'm inclined not to count it in with their normal stats, given the circumstances). Anytime Drew Brees has 45 attempts, and he onlys manages 20 points, the defense should feel pretty good. That's not to say there's no room for improvement, but I'll take that result any day of the week.

Nice to see Brady and Gronk are themselves again. I wasn't horribly worried after week 1, but with Brady being 40 you just never know when the dropoff can occur. He's certainly still quarterbacking at a grand level.

2 most encouraging things afterwards to me was Dorsett and Wise. Chances are we will need them in order to withstand the losses at WR and DE. Both had good games - actually Wise had a great game.

White continues to impress - his new deal is a steal for us IMO for what he brings to the table.

A little bit disappointed in the ground game, though it was effective enough overall. Thought we could really run on this defense. Hopefully it gets better as the year winds on.

Defense was fine considering no HIghtower. It wasnt pretty at all but if we're facing an exploitable defense this kind of performance is plenty. Gave up the yards but made key stops.

Not a good special teams outing. Saints had some good starting field positions. I think there was a 28 yard punt in there too along with a 5 yard penalty. Another missed XP.
Sorry but anyone who was worrying about Brady after Week 1 was not paying attention, perhaps even foolishly buying into the 'cliff' talk. His struggles had nothing to do with physical limitations. It was just a bad game and any of us who have been watching for this entire run should have had complete faith that he'd turn it around in a big way. He ALWAYS does. One of many reasons why he is the GOAT and best QB in the NFL.

We won't find out for certain until later this week, but if he's saying things like "I'm good" and smiling and laughing while walking out, he must be doing OK. Just needs some R&R.

Yes. I hope he can hold up for 16 games. Also i wanna see better protection. Solder was terrible!

I think we will get a feel for this defense when they play Tampa bay in a couple of weeks on the road. They got some weapons.

David Harris' playing time:

Week 1: two snaps
Week 2: zero snaps

Maybe we'll wee him next week versus Houston?

I'm not great at diagnosing the individual blocking but yeah it did seem like Solder struggled. The pocket was collapsing on several occasions but Brady stood in there and delivered.

Game ball to Josh McDaniels. He made bricks today with very little straw. (Loved the comparison to the Charlie Weis offense of 2001. But Antowain + Marc Edwards > Gillislee + Develin.)

Anyone who thinks holding a brees team to 13 points before garbage time is being "suspect" needs to take some football 101 lessons.
Anyone staking their reputation on this team being 8-8 needs to get their head examined.

Yes he called a great game but there were plenty of weapons out there.
Give him credit for using them but to say he had no weapons is just wrong.

Dominating performance from start to finish. Great bounce back after week 1.

Injuries are a major concern though. Suited up just 3 WR, and two of them got hurt during the game. Crazy.

Loved how they utilized the RBs though. White carved up the Saints' D.

Brady was brilliant as usual, and the D played well, despite Brees' stat line.
