Jordan Richards . and STAR position

More like FART or SHART position.

Bill, I know you think you're the smartest guy in the room and can coach anyone up, but your players need SOME athletic talent to succeed. When you play in the secondary and you're slow, it's normally not a good thing.

I can't say "here is the answer."
What I can say is that BB is known for his ability to cut bait when it doesn't - and most likely, won't - work.

Sorry, it's boring, but "let me tell ya how to do this, bill," flies in the face of empirical data. He has a lot more rings than you.

So you might be right in any specific case, but in far more you'll be be scrounging for reasons you were really right, cobbling together outlier plays etc. to make your case. The only thing in your favor would be the short average tenure of any player on any team.

Also... "you can't have everything... where would you put it?"

Is he better to keep vs what's out there? Are we developing him? Lots of unknowns.

One known though: although he might cut him on game night, as of right now B.B. Simply knows better than you.

Don't feel bad. That's all of us.

REALLLLLLLYYYY rooting for Richards to succeed now, just to stuff it in the faces of a few super-scouts here...

Coach's Pet Jordan Richards

BB rarely fuels his playing time decisions by draft capital spent.

Richards probably shouldn't be in the NFL & yet he played nearly the whole game?

But he looked sharp in his uniform.

Make him a coach, because he knows where to position himself at the snap.

.

He was an abomination of a high pick. Most people that watched him in college saw this coming from a mile away. The guy has the football IQ, but he just doesn't have the athleticism to cut it. If you put his brain in Calvin Pryor's body, you'd have one hell of a football player. Short of that, neither guy really belongs in the league.

Sorry, It is what it is.
A=K=E=E=M A=Y=E=R=S.
NOW.

.

Oh, I agree, and he'll be here this week, I'm almost sure. But they need more than that. Richards wasn't the problem last night. When Cassius March, a pass-rusher, has to cover Hunt for 5 seconds 40 yards downfield, well, it ain't gonna happen.

Cassius Marsh has not had 1 full week in our system. That play was over before it started as he got isolated. He'll learn and get better.

Jordan Richards has been here 3 years and is a Mensa candidate on "positioning". We've seen the ceiling (or the floor - - same thing) on him.

I don't think Belichick made that decision based on draft capital so much as the LB corps being completely thin and devoid of quality depth (particularly once Hightower left). That Jordan Richards also looked completely unathletic for a LINEBACKER is pretty bad. FFS, Marsh was pursuing sideline to sideline faster than Richards was.

I'm sure Richards is a fine young man but from everything he's shown, he's simply not good enough to be in the NFL. I have no idea what Belichick and the staff think when first, retaining him and secondly, playing him. It's nonsensical.

The fact that Jordan was in there over Harris, says a lot about what the coaches think of Harris.....if Harris can't beat out Richards, he doesn't belong on this team. I'm just hoping it was a personnel situation with the Chiefs, and Bill thought Jordan matched up better. Let's hope.

The Patriots have been known to make some peculiar roster management and team selection choices.
