More like FART or SHART position.
Bill, I know you think you're the smartest guy in the room and can coach anyone up, but your players need SOME athletic talent to succeed. When you play in the secondary and you're slow, it's normally not a good thing.
I can't say "here is the answer."
What I can say is that BB is known for his ability to cut bait when it doesn't - and most likely, won't - work.
Sorry, it's boring, but "let me tell ya how to do this, bill," flies in the face of empirical data. He has a lot more rings than you.
So you might be right in any specific case, but in far more you'll be be scrounging for reasons you were really right, cobbling together outlier plays etc. to make your case. The only thing in your favor would be the short average tenure of any player on any team.
Also... "you can't have everything... where would you put it?"
Is he better to keep vs what's out there? Are we developing him? Lots of unknowns.
One known though: although he might cut him on game night, as of right now B.B. Simply knows better than you.
Don't feel bad. That's all of us.
