The Season Finale of Deflategate

I am grateful for Deflategate. It is so much easier to get through my day when I have a name for my grudge: Roger.

As in:

You suck, Roger.
Leave me alone, Roger.
I am not bitter, Roger.
F#%k off, Roger.
Bite me, Roger.
Etcetera.

Different people handle things differently. Holding a grudge does not require acting how you would personally act if you held a grudge.
If anyone holds onto a boiling grudge, they're the only ones that know it and pay the price

There's no way of avoiding those simple facts AJ. It's basic Life 101

Like the ex husband or wife that swears never to let go of their resentment. It never hurts the one they resent....only them

Ok buddy you speak for everyone

as satisfying as it was to see the Patriots give the Devil and the rest of the league a big FU last season, it will never be over. May Roger and all the NFL owners that drove that bus rot in Hell. He's hoping the Pats go undefeated for the next 5 years with Brady at the helm.

I'm not sure what you're driving at.

If someone wrongs me I won't let it go. If they sincerely apologize I'll forgive them but will still not forget. I'm not forgiving someone who has not asked for it.

If Roger dies a horrific death tomorrow I would think the world is a better place without him.

I don't condone violence. I never have nor ever will initiate violence.

I would never attack Roger unless he tried to take a selfie with me. :D

You need to go back to that next meeting with Roger.....and man-up, by that I mean take the first piece of pizza from the box.

Probably delivered by five head himself.

I'm getting at one simple fact no one can escape. And that's the fact no one can get anyone back by holding a grudge. In fact those that harbor grudges are the only ones that pay a price.

Holding onto anger is one sure way to guarantee a miserable life for oneself Tony

I'll forgive Roger Goodell right after I forgive Jack Tatum.

I think I have competition for the title of wordiest and most abstruse poster on the forum

I can't explain how extremely wrong you are so you'll understand, but I'll try.

1) Any man who is shown evidence contrary to his pre-decided conclusion deserves no respect. I have links to Californian 5th graders that prove the ideal gas law. Yes,California is NOT a New England state.

or 1a)He kowtowed to the other owners who had it out for Kraft or the Patriots or whatever. He already had $44 million or whatever. Not dropping a "My hands are tied," or whatever means he was complicit, not honorable.

2) It ends when the last draftee of 2017 retires. Excuse me, I should include UDFAs. Then and only then will I consider "No harm, no foul."

But I enjoy hating Roger. It brings me happiness.

Seriously though, I understand your premise but I am not consumed by my anger. It doesn't rule my life. I'm a genuinely happy and optimistic guy.

I do hate Roger and all that he stands for. He is a reflection of all the power hungry narcissists in this country that are ****ting all over the blue collar working family except with Roger he's doing it while standing in front of my most enjoyable distraction.

The idiot can't even keep it within the realm of Football. No. He has to screw up DV policies which have far reaching consequences. He has to screw up a stupid air pressure battle that resulted in hurting blue collar "law of the shop" workers, and has screwed up the concussion issue to the point of informing mothers that it would be ok to send their kids back into a football game even if they sustained a concussion during that game.

Those are not just football issues. They are real life issues in which he has focused on the all mighty $$'s while ****ting all over the average family. You could argue that his concussion policies had life threatening consequences for football playing kids across the country.

The guy is a piece of **** and hate him and anyone like him.

Anyone who thoroughly followed deflategate has lost confidence in the purity of the Supreme Court. An "honorable" judge with an Amicus brief sitting on his desk stating that the science behind deflategate was bogus and signed by 20+ Doctors of Science, somehow came up with the conclusion of "Compelling if not overwhelming". That's some scary ****.

I have my own laws. I respect anyone from anywhere. I enjoy meeting people and learning about their life's journey. But those who feel they are above someone because of the size of their wallet or an IQ number can simply kiss my ass. I have no time for that BS. Those who take that condescend to an abusive level such as Roger has needs to get smacked one way or another.

"Anyone who thoroughly followed deflategate has lost confidence in the purity of the Supreme Court."

You're upset at the New York Circuit Court of Appeals not the Supreme Court.

I lost confidence in the US Supreme Court (the court above the one you're mad at) a long time ago.

Thanks for the correction.

I suffer from Irish Alzheimer's: I forget everything but the grudges. :D
Tiocfaidh ar La. ;)

With regard to Patriots Reign posts and holding on to a grudge, I get what he means which if I am correct, is that a deeply held grudge can fester and end up afflicting the holder rather than the person who the grudge is held against.
In normal circumstances I would agree with that train of thought, but we as fans dont hold the grudge as against ourselves personally per say, but rather more against the Patriots as a whole and in particular TB12.

If you never let a grudge go, you're the only one paying a price AJ. I didn't say you have to forget it.

But if it continues to boil inside, you're just beating yourself over your head with a hammer saying "see! Take that!"

Nonsense

That's right up there with "Talk it out, and you'll feel better" at 10s on the ******** scale.
